The manager, Saman, was probably the best hotel manager I met in a long time. He went above and beyond to try and help: a real professional, and the best of Sri Lanka when it comes to hospitality. Suraj, the cook, also made good food and gave great portions, so I was satisfied.

Perfect place after a long journey. We had a large room and the entire upper floor to ourselves, with plenty of space for our son to play. The facilities are new and spotlessly clean, and breakfast and dinner with local flavors were excellent. The team was incredibly kind and attentive, and our son loved playing in the pool every day. Ideal for arriving in Sri Lanka or relaxing 1–2 days before departure due to the close proximity to the airport.

A really peaceful escape tucked into nature. Wetland Resort lives up to its name—you’re surrounded by lush greenery, birdlife, and that quiet, slow rhythm that’s getting harder to find. It’s the kind of place where you wake up to natural sounds instead of traffic. The setting is definitely the highlight, and it feels a bit removed from the busier coastal spots, which can be a plus if you’re looking to switch off. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. If you’re after something calm, close to nature, and away from the crowds, this is a solid choice.
