The guest house is just beautiful and beautifully situated in the mountains around the Douro River, way above Pinhao. Views were amazing, room was palatial, and the dinner and wine offering was very, very generous. The pool was an added bonus in hot weather!

Perfect location, swimming pool and accommodation was outstanding with everything you need - from coffee and port to fresh orange juice. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They even drove us to the train station AND drove us back again when I realised I’d forgotten something.

The location is very convenient with beautiful views of the Douro River. The suite that we stayed in was clean with a very nice layout, amenities, and private area as well as many shared areas around the pool and other terraces. The shared kitchen was wonderful for cooking a Sunday lunch. The hosts work so hard to keep it clean and beautiful.

There were so many thoughtful touches that my girlfriend and I appreciated and found unique in the country of Portugal…like washcloths! And great lighting on the bathroom over-the-sink mirror. In fact, the entire place had nice lighting. And there’s a temperature thermostat in each bedroom. And the pool upstairs is lovely, and the view from there is just beautiful. Comfortable beds, and warm hospitality from the owners. And VERY close to the train station!

Excellent location, charming property. The rooftop has a pool & multiple chaise lounges which we used daily. There were friendly black cats & a couple of adorable dogs. We would definitely stay there again!
