Very relaxing weekend away from the business of city life. The sounds of birds and frogs while sitting around the fire at night and having springbok and zebra wondering past the house was a treat. We enjoyed walking aroudn and exploring the farm and the dams too.

The location is fantastic for a weekend away. We loved the dam and that you could enjoy looking at the milky way during the evening. We even took the boat out on the dam to soak up the view even more

This was our second time staying at Saronsberg and we wouldn't hesitate to return. The setting is beautiful, and the cottages are very well appointed with glasses/kitchenware/crockery etc. The indoor and outdoor braai are a lovely touch, and it would be easy to self cater for several days without issue. Complimentary milk, water, tea/coffee and delicious Saronsberg olive oil and spices were provided. The linens and towels were of a good quality, and Charlotte Rhys toiletries are provided. The wifi worked well, as did the air con (bedroom only). The pool area was always clean and tidy, and was great for a dip. Pool towels were provided. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and engaging (our housekeeper was particularly lovely). We did a 9 glass wine tasting at the tasting room which was a lovely, relaxed experience (the setting by the pond is just gorgeous). The cost was 120 ZAR per person, but this was waived if you spent over 400 ZAR on bottled wine to take away (which we were more than happy to do!). Food isn't served, although it is possible to purchase a small cheese plater when available.

The facilities are outstanding, like a bathtub, indoor and outdoor braai. The luxury toiletries and complimentary cookies and wine were very nice. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The wine tasting at the reception is very close and a great value for money. There is a nice walking trail on the farm.

Breakfast was excellent. You are given a choice of breakfast from eggs / bacon benedict, breakfast pizza, or full English breakfast. You also receive a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and a granola yogurt. Accommodation was excellent, clean shower, AC, comfortable bed and a gorgeous swimming pool with braai facilities awaited us. Centrally located and less than 3kkms from all the popular wine farms. Also enjoyed an excellent wine tasting from the knowledgeable Stephan.

The cottage we stayed in was great! The location of the cottage was close to wine farms where we got to have a great wine tasting and we were served by wine maker, he was able to explain how the wine was made. We went horse riding on a beautiful farm and got to cool down in the beautiful swimming pool at the cottage. Was definitely a valentine's weekend away both me and my parter loved! Will definitely recommend this as a vacation for anybody looking to have a relaxing and fun holiday 😀

Absolutely fabulous location and views from the terrace are amazing. Staff really helpful. Rooms are lovely and modern. Bed was fantastic and really comfortable. Meals are good. Swimming pool is fresh water so very unusual.
