I honestly fell in love with this GEM. Everything about Schrikkloof was amazing. An amazing warm welcome by Patrick who gives you a welcome drink and shows you around. There is so much to do on the property itself: a beautiful pool area to relax, a pool table, darts, board games, lots of sitting areas to relax at, even a gym and spa area. When it's cold there are fire places keeping it nice and cosy,and in the heat of the day there are many cool spots to hide out. On top of that the food is amazing, prepared by Chef Solly who is also such a friendly person who makes your stay that much enjoyable. There is tea, coffee and water available all day. If you stay more than two nights you have a free game drive (we spotted lots of different buck and a giraffe just on a walk). A highlight was going to the Lions Foundation that is homed on Schrikkloof reserve, what an amazing experience. The staff make sure you are always taken care of and that you have satisfactory stay. The rooms are also huge, with an outside shower and indoor bath. Each room also has a balcony you can relax on and look out onto the valley .
