The log-houses are very spacious and cozy. The heat was turned up to 11, the floors were burning :) Bedroom had old carpet and furniture smell, but manageable. Note that the log houses are a bit far from the main hotel, but they offer free shuttle which is very prompt, so the distance didn't matter that much, you just have to call to the reception and in max 2 minutes somebody picks you up. The onsen they offer is lovely, especially the outdoor one.

Surrounded by lush mountains in Minakami, Tenjin Lodge is just a 5-minute walk from Tenjindaira Snow Resort Ropeway and JR Doai Station. Quiet location and easy access to nearby slopes as well as trains for a visit into town. Amazing staff!

In addition i really love that they have arcade games, massage chair and also karaoke rooms. seeing the arcade games was nostalgic and makes me reminiscence my childhood times . Although old school but these games are getting rare to see these days.

Surrounded by a forest, Karuizawakurabu Hotel 1130 Hewitt Resort offers spacious accommodations, public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional multi-course meals. Wonderful location. Room was spacious. Breakfast was exceptional - tremendous variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier.
