"Absolutely a great place to stay with welcoming host’s that a very lovely family orientated that if you need advice help nothing is to much trouble. Rooms are lovely with balcony and views to wow you. Ifs a very comfortable bed best night sleep I have had in ages the whole place is amazing extremely clean in fact I go to say not a bit of dust or mould to be seen. It’s not far from shops bank and the lake and lots to do there, the breakfast is lovely and a wide range of choices and juice and the biggest selection of tea I have see. Definitely top of any places I have stayed the friendliest and cleanest I will definitely be back and definitely recommend without hesitation thanks for making me feel welcome"

"A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. "Fuschl is a little off the best track but so quiet and peaceful. You will need some transport to get around and see the sights as the whole area is stunning. Fushl is lovely to visit, also St Gilgen where are at Brunetti'. The likes and walks are great as accessible and a fry your is a must. The restaurant Gamsjaga comes highly recommend and as a beautiful view over the lake."

"When we were there the village was quiet and we had great weather. It can be good for sunsets. We self catered so cannot comment on the restaurants but there are two stores and a petrol station that had most things you would need. It's great for walking. We walked both directions partly around the lake including to St. Wolfgang where I can warmly recommend Julia's Imbriss Treff for a light lunch. Of course from there you can get the cog railway up to the Schafberg which is dramatic and was one of the three top highlights of our time in Austria. We also visited Salzburg, Mondsee and Hallstatt,though the later was already quite busy even in what is a shoulder season."

You couldn't get the location any better. Everything is just top notch. The vicinity, the lake nearby, and the staff are nothing short of amazing. Weather and the nature around the hotel made the stay more memorable. The hotel sits in the middle of a village and the peace is so mesmerizing. Beautiful accommodation in beautiful nature. The room was very spacious, beds really comfy, the breakfast was delicious and the free access to the spa area with saunas and whirlpool was a wonderful bonus which I had forgotten about, so it was a really nice surprise. About half an hour from Salzburg by car, so ideal if you want to explore the city but also the countryside. Would definitely recommend!

The Ebner's Waldhof am See Resort & Spal has very spacious family rooms. The spa area, especially the heated pool, is magnificent. You can come to lunch in a terry robe straight from the spa area. I really liked the food - a large variety of tasty and healthy food - you can even make your own smoothie from apples, carrots, sellerei and ginger. For dinner, you can choose from several menus, including vegetarian cuisine. Dinner dishes are served and decorated at the level of Michelin 5 stars. Every day the hotel has a new plan of events. The hotel is run by a family, their care and attention are present in every corner of the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is very warm, welcoming and friendly.

It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities...

It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

Lovely little village, easy to get to by bus from Salzburg. Recommend getting the ferry to St Wolfgang and hiking back on the Pilgrim's Path (which is pretty steep in places) for wonderful views of Wolfgangsee

The Hof bei Salzburg itself is a beautiful peasefull village, very calm and quiet. Lots of supermarkets and DM store available and located in the village. In the evening after 7 pm everithing pretty closed, so make your shopping in advance.

Grödig is a quiet little town South of Salzburg right off of...

Grödig is a quiet little town South of Salzburg right off of the Autobahn which is a great base for touring the city. It gives lets you see the countryside a bit more and gets you closer to the local people. Buses run constantly so you don't really need a car here, hotels now give a pass for the duration of your stay so it's super convenient. In town near the main intersection is also the gondola service that takes you up to the top of the famous Untersberg, which overlooks Salzburg with stunning views.

We stayed for 7 days for riding in the area. It's such a beautiful part of the world. There are super safe bike paths and tertiary roads all over the place. It's a great place to stay and ride. We really enjoyed it. The hotel is very comfortable, staff fabulous and bountiful breakfasts included. The rooms are spacious with large balconies. Loved staying here and Fuschl.

The staff and hospitality, the effort they made to speak to me in English, they even brought me breakfast out to the patio, everyone else was inside the dining hall, I wanted to enjoy the nice fall weather, by the way the breakfast was easily worth $35.00

the staff is amazing To things are subjects for improvement First 1.enrich the breakfast 2.There is no refrigerator and safe in the rooms, in my opinion this is a big drawback, a hotel with excellent service like the Kammel needs a safe and a refrigerator in the room for the comfort of the guests

Walk around the Bürglstein is very nice and calming.

Walk around the Bürglstein is very nice and calming. City itself is much calmer than the other ones (St. Gilgen and St. Wolfgang), but still there is everything what would you need, water fun, grocery store, ice cream stand.
