This hotel checked all the boxes for my family and I. The parking was spacious which helped alleviate any anxiety with us having a truck. We were also able to bring our dog and he had plenty of places to relieve himself outside the hotel. Lastly, the cleanliness was wonderful.

The property and views are stunning. Our room was so cute and the pictures do not do it justice! Large room with beautiful windows that open, lovely restaurant and the grounds are wonderful for taking walks. Just below the property (about a 12 minute walk down the hill) is a little restaurant that had delicious soup and yummy coffee and croissants. A field next to it was filled with sheep and horses and a friendly cat. Breakfast was out of this world…The whole trip was magical for my daughter and I!

    This Property needs a excellent review, I travel around the world quite frekvently so I have many things to compare to! reminds me like a Maladives in the mountians! Stuff very nice and welcoming,( dealt with Robert at the bar and Andrew the manager both were fantastic! Fooood absolutely awesome ( Deer Cheeks to die for), Half a board is pleanty for the stay! Just get a good bottle of Wine! ( They have great selections). Breakfest is kick ass! Almost no kids, and they allow dogs, which all dogs were very well handled! This is Ski-in- Ski-out place! Two clean pools, one large Whirpool, Cold plunge and 4 Saunas from 45c to 95c , Cave-bombastic with constant 40c and 4 large rest areas that people just sleep, read or just enjoying the view! All Saunas are Male-Female all naked, but no-one gives you a grief if you keep towel around. The place has a great magic, since experince in construction filed, I must say they spend some money on quality of the work and great maintenance inside out and even great garden! This is a place you must visit more then once, becase second time you have something to look foward to! Cheers from Chicago!

    This hotel is a very modern, upscale hotel. Everything in the room is designed for comfort and ease of use. The lighting is a real bonus. It is controlled with a panel on the wall, and gives so many options for how you want the lights to be used. The shower had the strongest force of water that I've ever experienced in a hotel. It was fantastic! There were some snacks available free of charge, including a pretty boxed gift of Mozart candy. The room also had a mini bar with chargeable items. Because there were seven of us, we opted to take advantage of the hotel buffet breakfast. We were a bit reluctant because of the $19.50 price, but were so very glad we had opted to eat there. It was an amazing layout of food, and so worth the price. The buffet had so many different types of food, including smoked salmon, eggs, bacon, breads, fruit and on and on. This hotel so exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely opt to stay here in the future.

    I loved everything about this place! The breakfast was planty and tasty, the staff is extremely kind, the wellness area is super nice - we especially enjoyed the panorama sauna. It felt like all rooms have mountain view because it’s just all around you. It’s a beautiful place. I love watching the mountains from the outdoor jakuzzi. We went to the small hut restaurant next to the hotel (part of the hotel, too) twice during our short stay because the food and the staff were so nice. We definitely want to go back in Winter time to experience this wonderful region with a white coat, too.

When I checked in, the wonderful receptionist, Astid, informed me, that I will get an upgrade, a gorgeous, huge Junior Suit with amazing view!     You only need one day to explore Salzburg, it’s a very old city, you don’t have much activities there, only the old town which was fine. There is many cities in Austria that are much better than Salzburg. In my opinion don’t waste your time in it.

Would advise when booking accommodation that you book somewhere that includes the summer card as this gives you free access to all the gondolas in the area and free travel on local buses and trains plus discounted entry to many activities and saves you a lot of money.

    A very beautiful destination, we were alone on the mountain ridges most of the time. We would definitely like to return. For swimming, we recommend the lake in Zell am See rather than the local swimming pool, which is quite small and completely crowded.

    A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

    Bad Gastein is an amazing mix of natural beauty and old-world charm, surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests. In winter its a fantastic skiing area, and since its over 1000 meters elevated they usually have a long skiing season. In summer its great for hiking! There’s so much to do, from relaxing in the famous thermal spas to exploring endless hiking trails with breathtaking views.

    Gorgeous view of mountains, great place for nature-lovers, you can spend there some quality time both in winter & in summer. Hallstatt, Zell am See, Dachstein are only 1 hour drive from Wagrain. Be aware of toll roads & tunnels (above the motorway fee). If you are travelling with kids, they will enjoy the Hermann Maier Freizeitpark in Flachau (ca 15-20 mins drive from Wagrain). You should check out the opening schedule of supermarkets and restaurants, eg. after 9 PM, you might not find any open places or restaurants could have their own break days.

    Sankt Johann is a clean and beautiful town with gorgeous views of the mountains. Walked to visit the town center for breakfast at Bäckerei-Cafe-Konditorei Bauer. We visited Liechtensteinklamm just before they closed. It was the best time to visit the gorge.

    Golling is a long established small town on the Salzach...

    Golling is a long established small town on the Salzach river and a good base for exploring Salzburg and the nearby hills / mountains. Hotels are in the small town centre plus camping and camper van facilities nearby. Rail travel to Salzburg and on buses in Salzburg is free for holders of the Tourist Card issued without further charge to people staying at Golling hotels, This facility has recently been extended to other buses and trains over a wider area, Golling Waterfall and the canyon (Klamm) on the Salzach river attract visitors, There is a Water Park close to Golling.
