A very big city.
A very big city. Beautiful lake Albert and we walked our litttle Sophie, she loved it. Is has the cheapest diesel in the Australia. Unbelievable cheap it’s even cheaper than Costco by 8cents. The Pioneer Park and Museum was absolutely mind boggling- such a huge collection of old buildings and machinery- we got there at 11am and left at 4pm- amazing what they are doing there. West Wyalong is a quiet country town. Has got all facilities one would need. Very friendly community and many outlets for meals. The bakery and cafes are fabulous. The bars are fantastic. Clean town. If you plan to stay here make sure you book early. if driving west it is the perfect driving distance from Sydney. The club is excellent for a meal and is across the road from the motel. When we booked we explained that we have show dogs that do NOT sleep in the room but either sleep in the car or in a trailer.. i was told a "pet fee" would be charged but it then sudenly turned into $100 extra for my dogs.. ( which still slept in the car) I had to argue for a parking space as I was told to park in the street ( after already paying the extra for the dogs., although a van had been given 3 parking spots. The lovely cleaner Jill was fantastic , she sorted out a parking spot and was extremely helpfull. I was impressed with the Leeton community's conduct of Anzac Day, with children from all schools marching in uniform, while in their holiday period. The conduct of the Anzac Day service by the Leeton RSL Sub Branch was thorough, respectful and inclusive.
