GermanyMy last visit to Hotel Borel was exactly 3 years ago. Now the rooms are completely modernised, and having a very comfortable sanitary area with a fantastic shower. Breakfast is excellent.
Some technical issues in the room have been solved immediately, and I found that the front desk team as well as the management are very friendly and helpful.
Since it was the best hotel where I stayed in Dunkerque in the past, I have to state that it is even better now. If I'll come back to the region I will stay again in Hotel Borel.

The hotel was the perfect location for where we wanted to be. It was lovely and clean, the staff were all very friendly,helpful and spoke English. The restaurant and food were excellent and a good choice for breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

Great location, near to the beach (5 minutes by walk) and 1 minute to tennis courts. Apartment for 4 or even 5 persons (2+3) with full equipment. Friendly and helpfull personel.

Nieuwpoort is a quiet and clean town. My favourite places to eat in the Brasserie in de Luwte marktplein 18-8620 Nieuwpoort and Pitta Istanbul. This is the good places to eat for me and my boyfriend. If you like massage for relaxing. Siriwan Thai massage Marktstraat 2A-8620 Nieuwpoort.

Pleasantly exceeded my expectations.
Pleasantly exceeded my expectations. Visited with my son primarily to visit museums etc and also have a little downtime, but found more to do/see than expected and did not realise what a great beach there is (Malo Les Bains). With a long promenade and lots of bars and restaurants etc. and sports and children's activities, with the benefit of the heatwave it was a perfect way to spend the late afternoon and evening after the sightseeing/museums.. As well as the war time and port history plenty of art and other culture to enjoy and we could have easily stayed longer.

I fantastic beach with lifeguards dotted along making you feel safe. Lovely restaurants along the front and some nice shops in the town. Easy to get around especially with the coastal tram to take you all along the coastline. Fantastic free music concerts with the summer of music season.

A historical town with a tremendous and sobering war...
A historical town with a tremendous and sobering war memorial. The 8pm nightly ceremony at the Menin Gate is moving and thought-provoking. The sight of over 54,000 names on the memorial walls brings home what a monumentally huge number died in the area during the Great War.

The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning.
The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of Restraunts and beach bars. Friday Mornings there is a street market with local belgian foods and other small business vendors. Everything you could want on a beach vacation is easily accessible on ZeeLaan (Main Street) Taking advantage of the KustTram you can travel from DePanne to Ostende (where you can catch the train to Brugge - a definite must see)

We have decided to have a short nap at the hotel on our vacation tour. We have visited the hotel at 3:30am, receptionist opened a door for us, quick check in. Spacious room for family of four. One double bed and two single. Double bed was in separate room. Each room had a tv. Bathroom was with shower and separate bath. Comfy beds, clean. Stain on carpet and broken some curtains. Car park was full at the time we have arrived, we had to park on lawn next to entrance, other cars did the same.

We really liked the café-restaurant La Favorite.
We really liked the café-restaurant La Favorite. It's the perfect place for lunch with mussels and fries or an afternoon tea with crêpes.
Getting around Bray-Dunes is easy, and Plopsaland is just a short distance away.

Spent most of my time visiting places across the border in...
Spent most of my time visiting places across the border in French Flanders, but chose to stay just outside Poperinge owing to its location and ease to get to places in both Belgium and France. Went into the town on two evenings to eat at restaurants of which one was ok and the other excellent. The other evenings I went to nearby Ieper.
For adults I think that there is ample to do and see in Poperinge and the surrounding area for a couple of days, particulary if you have an interest WW1 or beer, which fortunately I do.

A lovely town with lots of water features, being on a delta.
A lovely town with lots of water features, being on a delta. Liked walking around the battlements, eating in the hotel on the main square, the Friday market and the friendliness of the people. Liked seeing sailing at the estuary mouth of the river Aa. Liked the free bus into Dunkerque. The town is quite a long way from the beach so need a car or taxi. It's so near to the transport links from the UK so is very convenient for a short stay. But you need a car.

Parking in niewpoort is very difficult with small bays and vigilent parking meter attendants who issues fines immediately the time runs out … we know we got one last December which was difficult to pay as it’s in Europe. We wont return.. sad as we’ve been going to Nieuwpoort for many years but it’s now too overbuilt and overrun with bureaucracy
