MexicoThe property was lush, clean and inviting. The property owners were exceptional. Ready and willing to fulfill any and all needs. Tom and Laura went out of their way to make our stay special. Even took us out on their boat to enjoy a lunch across the bay and also give us the opportunity to take photos from the water of the Cerros Archeological site. The cabanas are fully stocked with all the pots, pan, and other necessities to make your stay comfortable. Exceptional hosts!

CanadaBeautiful room with balcony and view of the boulevard and the sea. Very accommodating staff who arranged onward transportation and picked me up when I arrived in Chetumal. My room was an upgrade and was fantastic. Juanita Lara gave me a very comprehensive briefing at check in and directions for the area surrounding.

Corozal is up and coming.
Corozal is up and coming. There are places to go at night but you really need to know where they are and or talk to the locals. Soon there will be a live music scene and everyone is looking forward to it!! The only "chain" I saw was Best Western in Belize City. NO fast food chains/restaurants which is great!! Getting to Sarteneja is long and tedious just because the roads are so bad! But the village itself is beautiful and the people are nice and friendly. We enjoyed breakfast and Raquel's kitchen. We went out round 8:30 Saturday night looking for food but almost everything was closed, except the bars and they didn't have food. We Travelled all over Belize, this was one the most memorable experiences we had in our two weeks in the country, the owners live on site and are a wealth of information as they are Americans that have lived in this country for 20years and total get the Belizian people , we drove all over from here. The people of Corozal are amazingly cordial and polite. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. The highways were better than I expected - couldn’t tell from online pic’s and videos and I had heard that roads were not good. But - no problem with any highways. They were just fine! Out back roads were - hmm, what can I say - fun?! Yes, fun! And in town roads were less than stellar. (Then I came home to my 1st world town and encountered many potholes - so ... whatever!) BUT - everyone drives courteously and carefully. I felt like I had gone back in time to when people took care of each other - even with their driving. Fewer rules, but greater care. We loved the laid-back relaxed vibe. We loved the fresh delicious food. We loved the beautiful sunshine. We loved the sudden sundowns and sunrises.
