Kalimera is such a beautiful property with so much attention to detail. It is only a small hotel but this only added to its charm - it’s peaceful, intimate, and so relaxing. But the real standout here is the staff! The awesome maintenance staff supported us when my boyfriend was adamant to kayak out to the deserted caye a mile off the hotel’s shore. They gave us life jackets, snorkels, and water bottles for the expedition. And of course the incredible ladies in the kitchen, Gloria and Aracely. Not only did they make an AMAZING breakfast, they showed us how to harvest the right coconut for fresh coconut water, taught us how to make fryjacks, gave me birthday pancakes (not requested!), and even made sure we had a burrito for the drive back to the airport on our last day.

This was a wonderful place for the ten members of our family to stay. Each family had their own comfortable treehouse and there was no shortage of fun things to do for everyone from age 1.5 to 71. The staff took superb care of us and saw to all our needs. The food at the restaurant was very good and we ate many meals there throughout our stay. Altogether an excellent place to stay!

Loved how everything was in one place. Food and coffee shops on the grounds, and a sidewalk that connected to other bars and shops. The town felt safe and friendly.
