The character house is beautiful and decorated impeccably in the style of the time. The owners are responsive, patient and helpful. My room was very well appointed. There is a beautiful garden with seating and eating areas. The breakfast was delicious.

Our stay was magical in every way! The host and hostess were in the heated pool as we arrived and immediately made us feel at home. The room was spectacular with huge windows and a lovely bathroom . We did not expect a 2 hour gourmet breakfast with delightful surprises and adorable company in 2 guests who were Broadway actors. Felt like I was in a movie! Merci beaucoup!

    Lovely older home, styled in an eclectic and interesting manner. Beautiful grounds with nice gardens, large shade trees, wild birds, an apple orchard, and a lovely front porch to sit on in the evening. The owner is an absolute delight. She is friendly, inviting, artistic and shared with us some of her incredible experiences as a young artist in Quebec City. Breakfast featured farm fresh quail eggs among other treats. Wonderful place.

    Ile d'Orleans is a perfect spot for "Foodies".

    Ile d'Orleans is a perfect spot for "Foodies". With only one main road around the island it was very relaxing driving from spot to spot tasting all the various food & beverages offered. We had supper at a pub and lunch at a winery (both had excellent offerings) and our other meals were local food that we picked up for picnics. The variety is amazing and all the people are so friendly. Also a great place to chill out and watch the ships go by. We went during the week but can imagine it being busier during the weekend. If you can, it's worth climbing to the top of the observation tower for great views.

    The island is bigger than we thought and has several villages, each with their own houses and churches. It's very calm in winter and a great get away still quite close from Quebec city if you have a car!
