Restaurant is pretty good...easy and predictable place to eat. Though the breakfast is large and satisfying, it's predictable...exactly like that of other Diego de Almagro hôtels in the chain (I've done 4 now). I had a very good late afternoon dinner there as well, though service was sketchy at that hour.

The staff was very nice and helpful. My bus arrived at midnight and they were waiting for me. The breakfast is delicious and the room was small but warm and cozy in the freezing weather of winter.

Very nice hotel in downtown Chillan. It is in a tall building and it appears the hotel uses all of the top floors, which allowed for great view of the city. The room was nice and big, very comfortable beds, good thermostat and the shower was fantastic. Very pet friendly, allowed for my kitten to stay with no issues. Staff very attentive and friendly Breakfast was good.

    Our host Roberto took excellent care of us! Convenient location to ski and soak in the hotsprings at Nevados Chillan. Charming cabin by the river with ample nature space between cabins. The wood stove kept us warm and cozy.

    Chillán is highly underrated.

    Chillán is highly underrated. I love visiting the Mexican murals in the Escuela de México, seeing the Cathedral, walking through the vegetable and artesan markets, and eating in the Mercado Municipal. Eat at Cocinería Carmencita, they have amazing Chilean dishes! Also, if you crave a good coffee, and especially if you are gluten free, go to Cafetería Limarí. Amazing gluten free desserts!

    Lots of restaurants, and a few mini marts. Plenty of options in town for renting ski gear and chains. I did not see any options for getting gas or a cash machine, but I didn't look that hard. The main road thru town is paved, the rest are not and very rough, full of potholes.

    It´s a beautiful place, with cute and cosy cafés and restaurants but transportation there is an issue if you don´t rent a car. The sky park is amazing but rather expensive. I recommend renting your equipment in the store adjacent to El Leñador market, which is where we also bought food

    Las Trancas is a great base for the adventure enthusiasts...

    Las Trancas is a great base for the adventure enthusiasts with excellent mountain biking, snow skiing, and trekking on your doorstep. There are good restaurants and cafes to enjoy and shops supporting your activities with gear for rental and sale. Access is very easy on a tarred road all the way.
