If you are a first time traveler to Qingdao, bear in mind...
If you are a first time traveler to Qingdao, bear in mind that Qingdao has spent the last decade upgrading its transportation system, and in doing so, make it a lot easier to get around the city. For example, if you fly into their new airport, Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, once you gather your bags, you have a choice of using the city's rail service (Line 8) to get you to downtown Qingdao. It connects with Line 3 (Licun Park), and Line 3 connects with other lines, so rather than pay crazy money to get to downtown, you could pay as little as $1 just to travel to anywhere in Qingdao. The signs are in English, and they have staff on hand who speak some English as well. Great airport!Guest review byDavid
