This hotel is a little gem. It’s located in the heart of this beautiful village filled with stone houses. Whilst the amenities are all modern the essence of the old building with a courtyard are kept. Rudi welcomed us so warmly and assisted us during our stay. All the staff - especially Hugo at breakfast were welcoming and so professional. Definitely a place to revisit.

The spa was a dream, inside the forest smelling the pine trees and listening to the birds sing. The staff was very personable and helpful Andreas, Emmanuel and Renata were great. The little patio was great especially at night with the fairy lights.

We had a really nice stay in this family business hotel, in which we enjoyed the mountain atmosphere outside of high season. Everyone was friendly and helpful, we enjoyed breakfast and diner and the very confortable bed ! Thank you for this moment

My experience was undeniably exceptional, receiving top-notch ratings across the board for the room, location, staff, reception, services, breakfast, spa, and restaurants. The captivating natural surroundings and the genuine village atmosphere only added to its allure. I must commend Mr. Angelos, the restaurant manager, for his professionalism and hospitality. Additionally, the hotel efficiently arranged affordable and very good transportation via taxi, ensuring a seamless journey from Limassol to the hotel and later from the hotel to Larnaca.

A beautifully placed guest house, we really enjoyed our short stay. The views in the mountain are breathtaking, the house and room are also very nice, with wood. The staff was very friendly as well as the owner, the breakfast was copious and delicious! I recommend it if you are going to the mountains, it isn’t far from the Monastery also. We came before the season really started and unfortunately it was raining but if we come back to Cyprus we would definitely go back to Themis house.

The location is just perfect, in a center of a beautiful historic village, yet very quie, the sound of the river is very comforting. There is lot to see and do in the walking distance. The terrace is very nice, you can sit outside in the sun or under the stars listening to the river. Mrs. Evgeniya is very friendly and helpful, she gave us herbs for tea and olive oil for cooking, as well as advice about the area. There are lots of cute cats by the house.

The location of the hotel is amazing, completly into the mountains, perfect for hiking. it's an older hotel but it really has its charm, it's an authentic hotel which has been arround for many years, The staff was really friendly, breakfast had everything you need. The room was nice and very clean, beds were very comfortable.

Great place, great staff, good breakfast (meat, dairy, coffee, tea etc all provided) The restaurant was also great! We were even upgraded for free to a better room with an amazing view! 10/10! Showers were great! Plenty of hot water and pressure. The rooms were heated very well!

We liked absolutely every thing about this hotel. Very unique. Such wonderful in every detail. We sat out on the verandah sipping our drinks and soaked up the pine smelling surroundings. Pity we are only here for one night. Next time longer. I highly recommend this place.

There were all kinds of sport facilities: basketball,...

There were all kinds of sport facilities: basketball, football, ping pong etc, and the most popular hiking trails in Troodos are close by car. Since there was a problem with the electricity when we arrived, we had the opportunity to try both the small house and apartment type accommodations. You can have more privacy with a house, as it has an own kitchen, but the rooms are much smaller and the wifi signal was very weak, practically none. The apartment was much more spacious, but if you want to cook, you need to use a shared kitchen. There was even netflix in the apartment that was missing in the house and unlike in the house, the wifi worked properly. You need to have whatsapp on your mobile, as you get check in info by whatsapp. They have a phone number and they were responsive, could communicate in English.

Kakopetria is a beautiful destination that combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of tranquility. Its picturesque setting, with stone houses, cobblestone streets, and lush landscapes, creates an idyllic atmosphere for visitors. The surrounding nature is remarkable, with hiking trails like Varkotis and Chromium offering unique paths through green forests and along rivers. The peace provided by the environment makes hiking an invigorating experience. Additionally, the calming sound of the river that flows through the area, like the one you can hear in the backyard of Maritsa Lodge, offers a unique sense of inner peace, almost like the natural white noise of the outdoors. In the village center, the traditional architecture remains intact, with taverns like Podji Poda serving excellent local cuisine, and small cafés welcoming you for a relaxing drink and dessert in the main square. Kalopanayiotis is a beautiful and very easy village to...

Kalopanayiotis is a beautiful and very easy village to explore on foot, so no car is really needed once you are there. One of our favourite experiences was visiting the Monastery of Saint John Lampadistis and taking the scenic drive towards Kykkos Monastery. If you are lucky, you may even spot mouflons, the native wild sheep of Cyprus, along the way. We ate at Nous and Morokanella, and both were absolutely perfect — excellent food, atmosphere, and hospitality. For groups of friends, the village is ideal for relaxing walks, exploring the traditional streets and bridges, visiting monasteries, enjoying nature, and experiencing authentic mountain village life.

Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries...

Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries near by. It can get busy with coach parties but that is to be expected. Most restaurants and cafes close early evening so not a great deal to do in the evening. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking round all the narrow streets but it is so worth it. We have visited several times and enjoy it each time.

Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Agros is very, very clean and the water is super tasty)

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Ambelikos Traditional Hotel. We stayed in the Supreme Room with a fireplace and spa bath, and it exceeded all expectations. The room had clearly just been renewed and felt fresh, stylish, and extremely comfortable. The fireplace added a cosy touch, and the spa bath was perfect for relaxing.

Beautiful and well preserved mountain village, people are really friendly and they show love for their place. It is obvious they take good care of it. We had dinner and lunch at two different places and they were both really good. There is also a nice coffee shop with views of the mountains.

I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer...

I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer month of may but unfortunately the place looked deserted. Very few restaurants were open to have lunch and dinner, and sometimes the quality was very avarage. I would not recomment visiting Platres in July, perhaps August will be much better when local people take their holidays.
