They have a tiny room but it is a third of the price of a standard room, so I know what I was getting. If you are finishing the Camino at Finisterre, consider this as a treat for yourself. Location can't be better, right at the 00.000 km marker with cliffs on either side, the lighthouse in back and The Camino in front. Watching the sunset from the two story bar is perfect and I had my best meal of the journey in their restaurant. Included breakfast was lovely.

The cabins are well designed. The place is comfortable and clean. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. Dinner was excellent, home made. We ordered salad, fried calamari and grilled fish. Dessert was devine. Unfortunately, we were not able to eat breakfast at the cabin. We wanted to resume our pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela early and breakfast is offered by 9:00am. I highly recommend the place.

    Santiago is a beautiful city.

Santiago is a beautiful city. It's old center town is magical, straight out of a story book from the middle ages. Getting around the old town is easy once you get used to it. However, leave your car in the underground parking areas, since the town is almost fully pedestrian.

A Coruna is a lovely city, small and very walkable.

A Coruna is a lovely city, small and very walkable. We walked everywhere, no need for taxis (which there are!) or even the local buses. There is no 'one' item of outstanding "beauty" or "must visit" museum etc but overall the city has a feeling of an attractive working Spanish port city, with an old town area and some interesting architectural features. Lovely narrow lanes filled with bars and cafes full of families and vibrant groups of locals. Not a lot of tourists seemed to be there in early September especially not english-speaking tourists which, if honest, we enjoyed. The feeling is authentic everyday Spanish city living. There are some great beaches (we didn't use them but locals did), there are quick connections to Santiago de Compostela if you want to do a visit there. The walks around the headlands give great views of the city and the coast beyond. Well worth a visit. We went for a wedding there which was so much fun and the food; OMG! Best food at at wedding we've ever had! In fact the food overall eating out was so good, tapas eating is the way to go as you work your way around the city (which is why we stocked up on fruit & yogurt for our breakfasts). Go! Enjoy!

I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.

O Pedrouzo is a small town on the way to El Camino De Compostela. We only needed to stay one night and that was enough. I'm not sure if there were much to do in town. We tried two restaurants El Bule and Galaicos that serve traditional Galician food. Prices were fair and food was good.

We just spent one night in Padron and were fortunate to be there during the Pascua de Padron. Aside from the must-see sights, we were also able to immerse ourselves with the Padron townsfolk during the festive celebration of the Pascua de Padron. Must see sights are the Convento del Carmen which will give one a good hilltop view of Padron. Should also visit the Iglesia de Santiago where you will find the "Pedron" or mooring stone, believed to be stone where the boat carrying the remains of St James (Santiago) was tied to.

We only stayed a night because we were on the Camino.

We only stayed a night because we were on the Camino. We would have wanted to stay longer, the city had many historic places and old churches, but a many were closed (we were there on a Sunday). There was a farmer's market which had many interesting artisanal food. The cafes were bustling - we only had time for churros con chocolate (where we ordered double because it was sooo good) - but there were many food places - bakeries, pastry shops, cheese, jamon, and everything in between. Would love to come back and spend more time in this beautiful city. The city was bounded by mini forests which was a joy to traverse, with the trail dotted by chestnuts.

Fisterra is a quaint, small fishing town, with regular daily catches. So near the harbour is does smell of fish but many of the local restaurants have a great reputation for sea food. There are several great places to walk for the day; coastal paths, beaches (Fora, & Arnela) are a good walk (3-6 miles) but really worth it. Stunning scenery.
