IsraelI received notice from the hotel that check-in would only be at 4pm, but that I was welcome to wait in their lounge. That was greatly appreciated. The lounge was ver comfortable, and a very nice staff member actually checked me in at 3pm.
Breakfast was very good.

honestly the building and furniture is a little run down and there some hints all over the place that this hotel is past it’s prime.
BUT: that was the charm
To me because I genuinely got the vibe of being in the last stage of the grand Budapest Hotel. The location is perfect and the staff is impeccable.

The property was well equipped, very spacious & had all the basic necessities we needed. Ideally located right next to the ski lifts to go up to tignes le lac or les Brévières which is great as walking around with ski boots to get anywhere is a practical nightmare.

My friend and I wanted somewhere to stay that was low cost and good location. This all inclusive resort was perfect for our needs. We ate out every night and for lunch but breakfast was great.

The hotel has a lovely relaxed vibe, throughout the hotel in and especially in the dining area.
They had a fun live band on during apres ski hours one evening I stayed.

Val D’Isere has wonderful skiing, something for everyone.
Val D’Isere has wonderful skiing, something for everyone. The town itself is vibrant and just a beautiful old alpine village. Search out the restaurants and bars - again there is something for all tastes. The shops are well worth a browse. It is one of my favourite places to visit!!!

The location is very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby. Transportation is easy, and the facilities are quite complete, including a fitness center and a cinema, which is a nice bonus. However, I found it confusing that the movie shown in the cinema was different from the one I had purchased a ticket for. Additionally, it can be a bit noisy at night, which may affect light sleepers. Overall, a convenient stay with good amenities, but there are a few issues that could be improved

Famous ski resort, we think the best in Europe because the height guarantees good snow somewhere in the multiple ski areas, especially up on the glaciers (including Tignes which is easily reached). Centre of resort is attractive. The free electric bus service makes either end of the resort accessible with ease.

The food was ok but the rental apartment condition was really bad. It is a shame in a just so expensive ski resort to exist such apartments.I recommend Tignes if you are an intermediate skier and your only interest is to skiing in a such a huge ski area.

Val d’Isère is absolutely perfect — a vibrant town filled with excellent restaurants and bars offering something for every age and taste. The ski area is outstanding, with great slopes for both beginners and advanced skiers. A truly exceptional destination.

For skiing, Tignes is strategically placed so you have access to many of the best rides in the area ride outside your door. If you prefer more of a shopping and dining experience, Val d'Isere is a better choice.
