FranceThe standard double room we had had a great corner location overlooking the town square. Love the small seats you can use for reading... The room is very clean and cozy. The breakfast is amazing there was a decent selection and everything tasted great. The ambiance in the breakfast hall is very good. There is also a private hotel parking with chargers for electric cars. The stations for the free buses going to the chateau and the train station are in front of the hotel.

This place is simply unbelievably beautiful!! In my entire life, I have never experienced such service! This hotel easily deserves 5⭐️ in every possible way — the service, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the staff… a special thank you to them: so friendly, so attentive to every little detail!
There was so much care, especially considering we had bad weather — it felt like they were even more concerned about our stay than we were!! An incredible experience! And it truly makes you want to come back again to this magical, spotless hotel!
I couldn’t find a single downside, even if I tried — for the first time in all my travel experience, this is truly 100 out of 10! Exactly 100!!!!

It was a great base for looking around Pierrefonds, and the atmosphere was lovely, being in tge forest under a canopy of trees. It felt very secluded despite there being other cabins and campers around, which I loved. Also, really appreciated the little touches like being brought fresh bread for breakfast every morning and the staff were lovely, always making sure I had everything I needed. It's definitely somewhere I would return to in the future.

The greeting on our arrival was extremely warm, and curteous.
The room was large, warm and ideally equipped for our stay.
The restaurant for dinner had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the food was delightful.
Equally breakfast the following morning could not be faulted. The owners were charming and inviting, we found them to be the perfect hosts.
Overall this was the best hôtel we have visited in many years.

There is parking both on the property and near the house. The breakfast was delicious and varied.

Excellent surroundings with a park and water body around. Greenery pretty much in the entire vicinity. Close to historical sites such as Abbaye de Chaalis, Senlis, Chantilly, sentier des écrivains..

Breakfast needs more work on it, next time I will rather drive 10min to nearest Lidl or shop and get breakfast from there.

Such a beautiful, calm and quiet place to visit. So many bars and cafes to visit, lots of shops. You could find whatever you needed. A real gem of a place to see. Great location to visit other places via car or train.

One comes to Chantilly for many reasons, the first is why I visited, for the Chateau de Chantilly. Its collection is world famous. Shocking masterpieces from the Italian Renaissance, many of the greatest masters, and 16th century stained glass windows. Displays of mid 18th century Chantilly soft paste porcelains, also the somewhat horrid taste for hunting prevalent with the rich. Many hunt scenes with dogs, wild animals and well, you get the picture. Others come for the horses, and polo . I think many come to walk in the parks. And one must visit Senlis, a 15 minute bus ride , get off at Ecole/Notre Dame and you're in Gothic France, and visit St. Pierre cjurch, hopefully open for an art exhibtion. Lots of walking around..

A visit to the Royal Palace makes history come to life, with personal entree into the lives of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, Napoleon Bonaparte and his second wife, and with Napoleon III, and his beautiful Empress Eugénie.
Worth it. The small city is also eye opening with its magnificent Hotel de Ville, and some fabulously architected historic mansions, we stumbled across, all in a row on a street not far away.

We visited Pierrefonds because my daughters loved the show Merlin, but found the castle to be so much more than just the set of a TV show. I had read blogs and watch videos about others visiting the castle which mentioned that the town was not much of anything, but we found in to be charming. We would have eaten dinner in the town the night before we visited the castle instead of just grabbing something on the way, but because of the negative feedback I didn't know about the nice looking restaurants on the banks of a small lake.

We ended up in Senlis when our car broke down outside Paris. It is a beautiful town of cobbled streets, pavement cafes and wonderful shops. We would have liked to have had time to look around properly.

If you want to visit Paris but avoid the busy area, Gouvieux, is the perfect location. Only 30 minutes to Gare du Nord. The city is very clean, seemed quite safe, the Chateau the Chatilly is a great touristic spot. We found a great place to eat " La Villa".

The place was clean, tidy, and easy to get to.Checking in and out was simple. We only stayed one night, but it was a cozy and well-equipped space with plenty of beds, blankets, and pillows. The host was thoughtful, leaving breakfast items and essentials in the bathroom for guests. Overall, a nice, comfortable stay.

If you are hungry make sure you have lunch before 2:30.
If you are hungry make sure you have lunch before 2:30. After that you are left with getting cakes or grabbing sandwiches to eat outside from a supermarket or bakery.
The wee Irish Pub is recommended, but it is small inside with only a few tables.
But the Cathedral is outstanding. It is open till 6:15 and I would recommend coming after 5, when it is very quiet and the tour parties there to see its clock have gone.

Great place to visit - calm and not always felt particularly touristy. The Potager Des Princes Garden is an absolute must - thoroughly enjoyable, exceeded my expectations and a hidden gem, great for kids too with the menagerie. Good location to have one or two day trips into Paris (note there is a fast train (25 mins) and a slower regional train (45 mins) you can choose from). Some great places to eat or stop and have a drink. Just a tip - I'd not take the local bus timetable as gospel!

Loved it.
Loved it. Cheap cycle hire, fabulous easy cycle tracks through the forest, interesting chateau, great figurine museum, lovely restaurants/ cafes/ bars, good cycle to Pierrfonds where there is an excellent Chateau, a few restaurants/cafes, crazy golf and pedalos on the lake. Really interesting and poignant visit to the armistice memorial and museum.
