I went with my teenage boys as one wanted to visit Monaco.
I went with my teenage boys as one wanted to visit Monaco. A week was too long; 4 days would have been better. It's more shopping and cultural museums (which were good value) than interactive museums and activities. I expected more 'general stuff to do' that you might expect in any big city. The Nice stadium tour and sports museum saved us here. Great for children who like aeroplanes as you can bob around in the sea and see them landing/departing (it's not intrusive but some people wold be in their absolute element).Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Swamped with tourists at high season, but avoiding the most popular attractions makes for a more pleasant stay unless you enjoy queueing up. Many unique experiences to be had.Great public transport system.Guest review byThomson - 8.0
It depends what you are seaching for.
It depends what you are seaching for. High life, rich nicht life, partying, a lot of posh, glamour, expensive cars - definitely for you. But also nice place to stay for a couple of days as it good commuted and quite in the center of Riviera. Generally worth to come!Guest review byKarolPoland - 8.0
We visited in July during the French Theater festival.
We visited in July during the French Theater festival. It was a little too busy for our liking, but if you like French theater, it's a great time to be there. We took a tour of the Pope's palace, which is amazing and well worth visiting. We also did a half day tour of the lavender fields, which are about an hour away. Probably a full day tour would have been better. Good walking city overall.Guest review byCharlesUnited States - 10.0

A large historic city centre with hundreds of small individual shops and restaurants. The squares are a wonderful place to eat at night and you should not miss the food markets on a Saturday. Very helpful and pleasant staff in the shops and restaurants and a very beautiful city. Access is easy by train from Marsallie or other towns in the south France; you don't need a car. Best to eat away from the main street as it's netter value and the food in thr local bakeries is amazing. I'd especially recommend Boulangerie Hats Aix Espiariat for breakfast and lunchGuest review byJeffUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Arles is fascinating, not just for the association with Vincent van Gough but for the many ancient monuments in the city centre. Unfortunately we were unable to do the city justice as we were passing through but plan to return for a close look. The La Plaza La Papillotte in rue du Docteur Fanton was slightly away from the main tourist area but had outside seating and a breeze. The food was very good and the price was reasonable. The pork cheek with orange was delicious. The staff were patient with our French, which helped. There is 24hr secure paying parking in the parking centre Ville (multi storey) our parking for the evening was 4 euros. There is some free parking but it's a bit of a walk to the centre and as it was very hot we were glad of a shorter walk and a cool car on our return.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Antibes is a lovely town with a lot to explore.
Antibes is a lovely town with a lot to explore. The small narrow streets in the old town are wonderful and you never know what’s around the next corner. There are so many squares with good food at them all. A little knowledge of French would make thing’s easier but by no means necessary.Guest review byJohnIreland - 8.0

Interesting city - great market, super eating in the old indoor market, great atmosphere - a chance to meet interesting people and chat. Good public transport in and around - excellent coastal walks from St Mandrier (access via the boat-bus).Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A beautiful, unspoilt Italianate Mediterrean seaside town nestled between the sea and the mountains. Citrus trees line the streets. Many gardens to visit and walk in. Not dominated by high rise buildings and no bad behaviour witnessed during our stay. Chic but not a brash reserve for the super rich only like it's neighbour, Monte Carlo!Guest review byPatrickUnited Kingdom - 8.0

there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or sheratons or Hiltons ? wonder why ?? the hotels are overpriced for the value we get. But the city is lovely and a very nice place to visit. Ie. the Breakfast place where we stay - the older generation with old mentality are Races and Rude, but the new younger generation are very nice and polite. I thin the older ones have their pains in the Ass..s to worryGuest review byRajuHong Kong
