We stayed here during the Moto GP at Le Mans and were very glad that we did so. This is a lovely little chateau which is an easy 30 minutes ride away from the circuit and feels lovely and calm after the bustle of Le Mans. We stayed in a double room independance which is basically part of a chalet block in the woods a five minute walk away from the Chateau itself. The room is basic but spacious enough for two people and the shower room is very smart. I should add that the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were of a high standard. We ate in the restaurant twice in the evening and ate there for breakfast every morning and the food was of a pretty good standard considering the few staff they have here. The GloucestershireBonny review is of no consequence here as this was obviously written when the previous owners had this establishment. I would recommend this place if you want a nice quiet place to stay that isn't overpriced and I would suggest that you contact the hotel directly a it will be cheaper than using a web based site. One last point to mention.....There's red squirrels in the woods, so cute!

The food was delicious. The restaurant here is the sort the people will come from miles around to eat at. I had the €26 three course meal - which was 5 courses once the chefs compliments Amuse Bouche and a cheese course was added. Certainly up to Michelin guide standards in my opinion. The chef has cooked for the Princess Royal and an Aga Khan amongst others who can afford to be discerning. This hotel was my stopover on my journey back to UK. I had a quick swim in the warm outdoor pool after a long drive from Archachon towards Caen. It is a small hotel with a bigger restaurant. Well worth a stop if you wish to eat great food. The church bells do not ring at night, so I wasn't disturbed by them. I slept well, so the bed must have been comfortable.

We were concerned after reading some reviews of the hotel, but we were very happy with our stay. The man on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and clean, as was the bedding. We didn't take breakfast, but plenty of people seemed to be enjoying theirs. It was a good price, well located and we will be happy to return to this hotel.

We like staying at B n B hotels. Especially as many are located on the outskirts of large towns and cities. The quality of individual hotels does vary. In general many of the hotels are now lagging behind similar UK cheaper hotels eg: Travelodge and Premier Inn for comfort and decor.

tHE STAFF was so very helpful to me. I was searching for a great grandmother and her family. I found the street she lived on in 1800, the church she worshiped in and the records of their heritage. The staff was almost as excited for me as I was for myself! I will stay again!

Convenient for the motorway and with local services close by. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the room rate which is rare nowadays so good value. The location is well away from the noisy motorway making for a peaceful evening.
