Loved the room layout and room decor for a single. It’s a large single bed and the decor was the cutest of all the hotels I’ve ever stayed at in the UK. The front desk were lovely and very helpful.

Everything. The room was very clean and beautifully appointed. The food was excellent - a mix of traditional and modern for all meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

We liked everything about this hotel. We paid extra for the SUPERIOR room, you get an extra sofa bed if needed. The room was of a good size, bathroom as expected, with a shower over the bath. The room was quiet and warm The TV & WiFi were great. The breakfast was EXCELLENT, English & Welsh Breakfast options. The evening restaurant was very enjoyable, but lacking in atmosphere due to its size. The breakfast room had great views across open countryside. This is a very nice hotel, and YES we would rebook as it's so good, an amazing find in such a beautiful location, easy for the ferry ports, shopping and access to the midlands etc.

Everything went smoothly, the staff were lovely and welcoming, our room was clean and had comfy beds. It's a great location to rest after visiting the Brecon Beacons for a good value! There is no parking provided by the hotel, but just across the road, there is a car park that was free overnight (or £1 for the whole day). Shops and restaurants are very close as everything is in the town centre, and it can get loud overnight as people come out from pubs and parties (maybe have some earplugs if you are not a heavy sleeper).

From check-in to departure, everything was perfect. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, once checked in we were told how to get to our room on the 1st floor. Room was immaculate and beautifully furnished, bed was spacious and bathroom was beautiful too with a massive walk-in shower, toiletries, and towels. The room had tea/coffee making facilities , coat hangers and a hair dryer in the desk drawer. We had a fabulous nights sleep, and went down early for breakfast. The host and chef were very accommodating to our breakfast requirements, and through conversation our vegan alternative full Welsh breakfast did not disappoint. It was superb. We had a walk around the area during the evening and had a drink in the pub opposite our hotel which was busy and lively... it was NYE so didn't expect any different. Overall, we had a fabulous time and would definitely love to stay again in the near future.

The setting was beautiful, very peaceful, the room was a lovely size, old fashioned but perfectly suited the ambience of the hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the 2 waiting staff in the evening were amazing, so polite, friendly and attentive. The food was spot on, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced, we'll definitely be coming back.

This is a really comfortable hotel and I had no issues throughout my stay.

Comfy bed, really clean, toasty warm (it was November) and loads of space. The location was perfect - we like the restaurant in the pub so it was ideal to be staying on the premises. Also it was close to where friends were staying. Every time we've been to the Bear we've had a good experience - such friendly staff. It was also dog friendly - a big plus.

The room was absolutely beautiful with amazing facilities. The staff were incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough. I will certainly be coming back to the Red Lion.

We were a last minute booking & our host Sue was absolutely lovely & welcoming. The views are absolutely beautiful. Looking across from the balcony in the morning & hearing the babbling water was so lush. So peaceful, a great place to soak up nature & enjoy the quiet.

A beautiful B&B in a lovely village providing easy access to the Brecon Beacons. A real find - magical! The owners are consummate professionals, creating a real “home from home” atmosphere. The B&B is luxurious and really well appointed. The breakfast was absolutely excellent

Everything- the staff were amazing, welcoming,friendly, very accommodating. The food was delicious both dinner & breakfast, loads of choices. The hotel is decorated beautifully.
