I really liked that it’s set up to accommodate everyone. I even saw other guests who had brought their pets along - that was a very pleasant surprise.

Room upgrade was made available virtually. Had to wait until check-in before they confirmed that the suite was available. Everything we could wish for was in the resort complex. Loved being able to walk within the hotel to the activity centre and pool. Plenty of parking.

My kids loved the pool. We were up graded from Aviemore to Highland. Very comfy lovely breakfast

The property was beautiful, in a perfect spot to base yourself if hiking into the hills nearby! Room was clean and comfortable, perfect for our two night stay. Pub connected to the hotel was so cosy, great food and great atmosphere. Me and my partner are both vegan, and the staff were very accommodating and made sure we hade breakfast options! Was a lovely stay, will definitely be returning.

The rooms have been updated from the other reviews I read. Electric shower so instant, lovely hot water. Room was a good size. Lovely big window. The meals were so reasonably priced. Even when they were short staffed and not serving meals we were welcome to buy takeaway and bring it back to eat in the dining room. The staff were brilliant.

Everything, the staff were just wonderful.. Welcoming , friendly and they could not do enough for you.

Very spacious and clean room, lovely paintings in reception area and room, and plenty of parking space. Very pleasant and helpful staff at counter. One of the most comfortable stay we have had along our road trip!

The hotel has a lot of non-contemporary charm. Large and clean room. Good location in a nice little town. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money.

The location is just lovely and warm. One really feels connected with the traditional aspect of Scottish living. The staff is welcoming and helpful, I am vegan and they arranged to have a suitable option in the continental breakfast buffet, which was greatly appreciated. The location is very close to Balmoral castle and to lovely villages like Ballater. 10/10 recommended.

Location, friendly helpful staff, delicous supper in the pub setting and breakfast was beyond our expectations. Absolutely fabulous!

The room was cosy, very clean and provided with everything you could ask for. And we were welcomed with amazing cookies. It was the best value for money during our 10 days trip in Scotland by far.

Due to circumstances we had to cancel our stay just a day before arrival. Communication with hotel staff was very pleasent, constructive and supportive. When in this area we will undoubtedly stay here.

A superbly presented country hotel with style and history. The rooms were very well appointed with new bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Great facilities, furniture & food!

We received a very warm welcome from the hotel owners, who were extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We also had dinner at the hotel and really enjoyed it — and the beer was excellent! Breakfast was very tasty, with a lovely traditional Scottish selection. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a charming, more traditional style that suited the character of the hotel perfectly. Free parking was a great bonus. Overall, considering the price, we thought it was excellent value for money and would happily recommend staying here.
