- From $101.33 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 9,243 reviewsThis is an all inclusive type vibe. We only stayed the night as it was well located in between 2 of our planned outings. It's ideal for those driving around. The food has variety, it's buffet style in a nice ambiance. For those with young kids, this is an ideal getaway spot... lots of activities. We were travelling no kids, and it was pleasant for us too. Nice pool. Forest surrounds compound.Guest review byCyndeeCanada

Just went for a concert at the cathedral.
Just went for a concert at the cathedral. That was walkable from our B and B, and we enjoyed the evening. Went to a small Chinese Restaurant called Fat Buddha quite nearby. It was more of a takeaway but fine to sit and eat in for an hour or more.Guest review byRozUnited Kingdom - 10.0
What a lovely little town.
What a lovely little town. I enjoyed good meals, a tour and tasting at Ben Nevis Distillery, being able to do laundry by Morrisons after completing the West Highland Way, the charming bookstore, and the West Highland Museum. A great stop.Guest review byMariaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Aviemore has a great buzz about it – a proper gateway to the Cairngorms with a strong tourist vibe that makes it feel lively year-round. The high street is packed with outdoor shops, from big names like Ellis Brigham and Tiso to smaller independents, so whether you’re after hiking boots, ski gear or a new waterproof, you’re well catered for. There’s also a good mix of cafés, pubs and restaurants, which keeps the place welcoming after a day outdoors. It’s the kind of town where you instantly feel in “holiday mode,” with a steady flow of visitors giving it energy without losing its Highland charm.Guest review byAndyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely wee place with plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants.
Lovely wee place with plenty of cafes, bars & restaurants. It was our Anniversary while we were there and we had a lovely meal at the Seaforth Restaurant, food excellent and staff very friendly. We visited Achmelvich beach which was beautiful, gorgeous blue water and not too busy, we were lucky with the weather as sun was out. It was great to sit outside the Ferry Boat Inn with a wee drink over looking the loch seeing the boats and cruise liners coming & going.Guest review byDONNAUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Portree is a quaint little town, worth to be seen.
Portree is a quaint little town, worth to be seen. Just make sure you have evening meals reservations to skip long queues, hard to avoid on Sundays, when many restaurants are closed and most others only take walkins. But having a drink while you wait is a nice workaround.Guest review byDOMENICOSlovakia - 8.0
A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart...
A great place for boat tours of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle is located just outside the village. The village itself is very pleasant with a beautiful village green which had a market on it the day we left. The Fiddlers Restaurant on the village green was a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Urquhart Castle is well worth visiting with a great visitor centre and Loch Ness as a splendid backdrop to the stunning castle remains.Guest review byStephenHong Kong - 6.0

There seems to be a lot of closed up cafes /business premises in Kyleakin. Its a sprawling sort of place, maybe we hit it at a bad time. I would not have been too keen to stay there but for our cottage which was fabulous and if we had been staying longer it would have been a lovely house to base oneself in for trips to the rest of the island.Guest review byMaryIreland - 8.0
Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness.
Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness. It's quite in the mornings and evenings but gets very busy over day with day tourists by the bus load. Our accommodation was not on the main road, so we hardly noticed the other tourists. Great place for day touring to all four directions as we did.Guest review byTinaUnited Kingdom - 2.0
A poor and unattractive place.
A poor and unattractive place. Most shops were empty and nothing was looked after, except a superb flower garden around a statue in a little square near the hotel. It was difficult to find somewhere nice to eat. Quite depressing environment.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Passing through, needed a base.
Passing through, needed a base. It’s a bit out of the way, no buses in evening to connect to rest of Skye for returning from activities. The coop nearby makes for good grocery shopping, and the shoreline trail is scenic, for a short walk. Bus stop is a 5 min walk.Guest review byMechthild
