Myself and my boyfriend came to the Pentland Shepherd Huts to celebrate our anniversary and we had the best time! The hut was extremely clean and comfortable, absolutely perfect for a romantic weekend. It is an amazing location as it didn't take us too long to get into Edinburgh but we also weren't too far from lovely little towns such as Peebles. Lyn was great with communicating and we even got to meet their pygmy goats and shetland ponies, definitely a highlight of the trip! The hot tub was also heated for our arrival which was a great way to settle into our weekend. Would definitely recommend to other couples or friends who want a cosy weekend away!

It was very cosy, modern technology for the lights and heating. Compact but enough space for a couple. The spa was the cherry ontop. Extra little gestures for the experience also like hot chocolate for coming in from the spa etc.

Stable Cottage provided us with a truly delightful and relaxing stay. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the generous size of the cottage, offering ample space to unwind and feel at home. Comfort was clearly a priority, and we found the cottage to be exceptionally well-equipped and furnished. One of the standout features was the lovely garden, a true haven of tranquility. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and informative, making us feel instantly at ease. Their helpfulness and attention to detail greatly enhanced our experience. It was more than we ever expected … gorgeous property & accomodation . Very comfortable . A quiet retreat if you want to just relax & reflect . Close to Edinburgh ( 20 minute train ride ) for a day trip from Glenarch House . Would recommend the train to Waverley station in Edinburgh . It’s a self catering property , so will need to work out meals for yourselves . Morrisons ( a supermarket) is relatively close for grocery shopping .

The Laird And Dog is located in the Midlothian village of Lasswade, 15 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh. It offers a conservatory-style restaurant, rooms with free Wi-Fi and free parking.
