We felt very much at home. The proprietor thought of everything. Our room was clean and cosy. We will be making it a point to stay again. Also, the food was exceptionally good. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but there are other restaurants close by. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave, so we will be trying to stay there again in the future. 10/10 recommend.

Our stay at Dalhousie Castle was simply wonderful! We had one of the themed rooms, which was really cool! The room was very comfortable, and it was such fun staying amongst all of the history. The food was fantastic, too. We spent the morning walking around the grounds and then did the falconry experience, which I highly recommend!! We will definitely be returning to this amazing place.

I rate this property 10/10 but do have a couple of observations. The area in which this hotel is at is stunning. The views are amazing and you are surrounded by nature which gives it a very peaceful energy and we absolutely loved this about this property. The decor inside is beautiful but it does feel like a work in progress in some areas. Staff is nice. If you come from a warm culture you would think otherwise but later realized that Scottish are very hospitable and friendly people and are mostly always happy to help. The breakfast was the highlight of this trip. Every morning we were prepared the most delicious English breakfast and even had the option of a vegetarian sausage. The bed in the rooms are super comfortable. The bathroom although very spacious and modern, had a some mold spots and spider webs. We had to take taxis to the city center and it was a bit steep ( about $45 usd one way ) but had the best drivers around showing us the city and telling us a little bit of everything about the history there. Overall I do recommend the hotel and given the opportunity would stay again.

In 1 word: everything. In many words: Easy to find, received pics before hand explaining where to park, where to find the key. That was super easy. There are little frames with a few simple rules to follow. There is also a folder (blue if i remember right) on the windowsill near the door with information about what is near and about, take out etc. I mention it because i only saw it when we were leaving. Oh well... Kitchen has quite a good amount of things for cooking. Washing machine very good, rack for drying clothes. More than enough towels for all of us. Owner passed by to drop off things for the baby, such a sweet lady, so helpful. Shower was lovely. Beds are really comfortable, i slept like a baby. Well not my baby, he still wakes up a few times during the night, but i slept like a baby who sleeps well, if that exists. Will be sure to be back if i am ever passing by that place again.

As many reviewers mentioned, truly unique. For us up with a longhouse in Sarawak and timber cabin in Alaska. Host were excellent, brief introductory tour and then on our own. Wife found stone circular stairs a challenge but our hosts had provided a plentiful selection of food. Covered both evening meal and breakfast.
