It was very clean, the facilities looked brand new and the location (at the old town) was exceptional. The breakfast was handmade and there was a great variety of things to eat and drink. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and peaceful and everything was a short distance from it. The owner and the people working there were arguably the most helpful and kindest people we have encountered in our travels.

It’s a family run property, with a beautiful layout, kind owners and peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious, with homemade preserves and fresh squeezed orange juice. Akis and his mom made excellent recommendations for where to explore and eat around town. I could not have asked from a more relaxing and caring experience.

This place is paradise. Imagine waking up in a beautiful white suite with a clean, aesthetic design. You open the curtains, and through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, you see a marvelous sea. A beautiful small island stands prominently in this scene, framed by additional green islands. Waking up to this view is simply priceless. Then you step outside to your private patio area where you can sit and relax. And that's not all; just a few steps away is the waterline of a stunning beach. Walk just a few meters, and you're in the sea. The hotel also has a small restaurant with the same unbelievable views. The backside of the hotel is on the main street, filled with all the shops, excellent restaurants, and cafes you could wish for. Perfect!

Amazing building that gives you that true feeling of an old-school grand hotel, without feeling outdated at all. Huge spaces, lovely piano bar, peaceful location only 5 minutes away from the old town of Nafplio. Despite it’s age, it’s very well maintained and everything is in perfect condition and super clean. Maybe one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in and the complimentary bottle of wine in the rooms was definitely a plus.

It is a nice town. It is small and very walkable. I would recommend hop on/hop off. It doesn't have many stops, but takes you to the Paladini castle, although there are extra pay for getting inside of the castle. It also passes by The Lion of Bavaria. Interesting sculpture in the mountain. The old part of the town is charmful, and the seaside promenade is great to make all kind of pictures, including pictures with cats. At the end of promenade is a beach. It is a mixed beach: one part is stone, and accessible by stairs, the other more traditional one. I personally preferred the stone one, because it had much clear water and less people. There are a couple of museums and park, number of shops and restaurants. On Saturday, there is market where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and other sea creatures. It also doubles as a flea market. In terms of food, all restaurants look good, but I used one by the park (something mania). It is cheap, but doesn't have fish. I had tzatziki, tomato/cucumber salad, soulvaki, and loved them all.

Where the Argolic Gulf meets the gentle hills of the Peloponnese, the village of Tolo stretches along a golden curve of sand, kissed by the glittering sea. Once a quiet fishing harbor, today it welcomes travelers who come in search of clear waters, leisurely afternoons, and sunsets that paint the horizon in shades of rose and gold. Life here flows with the rhythm of the waves—swimming in the morning, strolling along the promenade by evening, and sharing fresh seafood in the glow of candlelit tavernas.

Epidavros was well worth a visit. We only went there because that's where our accommodation was but we were so glad once we arrived. There's plenty to do in the area, not only locally with the Ancient Theatre, lovely harbour and restaurants, kayaking tour including the sunken city, but also a little bit further afield with visits to Nafpoli and Ermioni.

A really pleasant working town, not dominated by tourists but getting on with its own life. A good restaurant on the main square and a small ironmongers to die for as well as interesting buildings such as the market hall. Don’t do it up so much that it looses its character.

The Archaeological site of Mycenae was on our "bucket list". Impressive site in a stunning hilly backdrop. Easy parking. Stones are slippery so wear correct footwear. Not for very elderly or disabled people as the site is on a hill. Best place to eat is La Petite Planete just up the road from the site.

Very touristy in peak season, much more so than any other town we visited outside of Athens, It was filled with souvenir shops, clothes shops, tavernas, and ice cream shops, and difficult to find much else in between. For people who like the ease of having everything on your doorstep and being able to slowly meander along pretty shopping streets, it would be great. It is very easy to get around; a relatively compact town. The large parking area at the port can accommodate hundreds of cars so there was never any worry about not finding a space. There's a nice beach a short drive away (Karathona) and the city beach is fine if you don't have a car, albeit quite crowded. It was worth the climb up to the Palamidi fortress, for the views, but there are better days out all around: Mycenae, Corinth, and Epidaurus were all brilliant trips. Nafplio is a good base for exploring the eastern Peloponnese in general. Antica Gelateria di Roma is the most popular ice cream shop, and was very good, but we enjoyed all the others too. Aiolos was our favourite taverna.
