The hotel was beautiful and tastefully decorated with a minimalist, clean design that made it feel peaceful and stylish. The facilities, including the welcoming entrance area where we relaxed with wine and books, were excellent. Our room was spotless and well-equipped, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—they even helped us order food when room service was closed and assisted with ferry arrangements. It was a perfect space to unwind after long days.

Room isn't super big but big enough for solo, and I guess also for two. The staff guy was extremely friendly, hospitable and accommodating, always trying to help. I had a great stay here. Location is fantastic, you are at the seaside within minutes. Sometimes at night the dogs outside try to do a group orchestral symphony, but it doesnt keep you awake.

The “Green Island”

Birthplace of the Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras, Samos is an impressively green island with beautiful beaches, lush pine forests and traditional villages. Hotel was a short drive out of the town of Kokkari up a steep hill. There was a path to walk down to the restaurants in the evening, but we took a taxi back up! 5 Euros for people :) Lovely small town with pebbly beaches lined with many restaurants. Everything was very reasonably priced compared to other islands we have visited. Hotel Arion is just lovely - we wish we had stayed there as our second hotel as our next one was not quite as good. Excellent breakfast buffet - spoilt for choice. Lovely pool area in the garden which was well kept. We had adjoining rooms - 402 and 403. Along with 401 we think the best at the hotel, but the two above were probably great too.

It is a very good business with very polite staff and it is very close to the beach and the center. I can say that it was the cleanest hotel room I have ever seen in my life. I would also like to thank them for offering us wine in our hotel room as it is our anniversary and for the kind congratulatory messages. It will definitely be a hotel we will stay at again.

The location was perfect, just a few minutes away from the beach as well as minutes away from the supermarket, bus stop and all the restaurants. The sea view was absolutely fabulous, and you can have it only for yourself. A very nice bathroom, recently renovated with free toiletries. Helpful and kind hosts.

Awesome hotel. We got an upgrade to a room that is normally never available, which has a private pool area. Even a bottle of prosecco was waiting for us. Absolutely loved the stay. Breakfast was good too. Thanks again for making this an unforgettable experience. Truly 10/10.

It is a lovely village with much character.

It is a lovely village with much character. Calm and relaxing feel to the place. Great choice of places to eat and a good range of shops. Prices for food and drinks was reasonable.We visited in September and it was busy but not overly. We hired a car and visited some other sites on Samos. Prices were fair Ferry from Kuşadası is direct so no taxi or transfer required.

Plenty of shops and bars in the new town. The old town was completely unspoilt and it was lovely to wander around the very steep streets taking in all the wonderful views but be warned take trainers as some of the streets were slippy in sandals The bars restaurants and cafes in the port area were really charming and you could while away an hour or two here Beaches not brilliant although loungers comfortable and free but associated with a cafe Potami beach only a 20 minute walk around the headland and that was a lovely beach again free loungers at the cafes

Beautiful little town. Cute streets, crystal clean water. Heaps of restaurants along the two sides of the ocean front. Definitely a great spot to stay. Kokkari beach is very long. It does get the wind so has a few waves. An easy 2km walk along footpath takes you to Lemonakaia and Tuamadou beaches which are calmer and beautiful.

The long beach is great.

The long beach is great. Development of shops and bars is strung out along it - no village feel, some places a bit run down (was end of season). The absence of buses means dependence on taxis if you don't have a car

The city is very nice.

The city is very nice. Affordable accommodation and rental car. We stayed 3 days. It is enough. If you have kids rent a car. Island is big. Best beach is for family is fsilli Amos. It is far away but worth it. Go to Yiannis Ozeris tavern in Vathy. Very friendly island. Prices are very reasonable.

Very small yet charming and quiet.

Very small yet charming and quiet. Car is necessary if you're planning to see other parts of the island as there is no public transport (only 4-5 times a day) and it is difficult to find a taxi. But the sea is beautiful, there are very good taverns (Alios) on the beach and there are amazing hiking routes very close to the village.

Most beaches on Samos are pebble beaches, but Psili Ammos is a sandy beach. It is shallow for quite some distance from shore and is excellent for children. The Psili Ammos Taverna is known for its delicious fried calimari.

I stayed in Samos-Vathy because it was close to where I'd take the ferry to take me back home to Türkiye. Excellent and affordably food, friendly folks. I managed to rent a car from Hertz (a VW IQ3) and drove around a little bit. Be careful driving out there -- the roads can get narrow, and the scenery is too beautiful, so go slowly to enjoy it all.

This feels like a boutique slightly upmarket place. Very pretty and picturesque but crowded. People are friendly and helpful, though. The beaches are very small and totally full of umbrellas. Not very relaxing at all. But good links, busses, affordable taxis to main town and archaeological sites. Also a catamaran ferry service to other islands. Ikaria, for example, is doable as a day trip. Enjoy the buzz in Pythagora but find a relaxing beach elsewhere.
