- From $94.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 91 reviewsBreakfast included was a huge plus. Another plus...always had cucumber and or regular cold water near reception, and the fans in the restaurant area are a huge plus to hanging out there, appreciating the view, eating or hanging out. The rooms are standard Honduran rooms...well equipped with soap/shampoo, hot water, closet, a chair, and many of the rooms have outdoor seating and even a hammock. Pizzas for lunch were great, and the staff was always nice, helpful, and worked out any questions/issues we had very quickly. The dive shop staff/instructors were great as well, and helped us there a ton...but were also super flexible and wanted to just make the dive we had the best they could. They even helped us coordinate getting to and from the airport.Guest review byPhillipHonduras
- From $76.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 200 reviewsThe staff was incredible. I'm planning on returning to Roatan and will stay at Lands End when I go. They are meticulously eco friendly without sacrificing customer satisfaction, which is something I prefer, and completely customer focused, which is also an extreme benefit. This is a small resort that IS NOT a one size fits all all-inclusive. Instead, you just let them know what you would like to do, and they will make all the arrangements for you. It's quaint and quiet at night, allowing you to enjoy the sunset from the balcony, but within a 5 minute walk from a night of listening to bands playing or a day of tourist attraction at West End beach. And the ultimate perk....its perfectly safe for a solo traveler to walk to town at anytime.Guest review byDianaUnited States
- From $89.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 87 reviewsQuick walk to town(my daily exercise)on nice path, only 5 min. Great price. Perfect for solo traveler’s, or those wanted to spend time, exploring the island and not wasting money on a hotel. The staff was exceptional. They sent me up with an AWESOME excursion with Roger, and they were super friendly with anything I needed. Wi-fi worked great and nice to have a fridge in room. I utilized the shuttle service coming back from West Bay three times. A little better than the water taxi because sometimes they won’t take you if there’s not many people. honestly, for the money, this hotel is hands-down, one of the best in town! Juice, bar, and coffee shop within a minute walkGuest review byjaimieUnited States
- From $261.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 31 reviewsThis place and the staff and the restaurant are amazing!! Clean and comfortable. Right on the beach, great location, the restaurant food was delicious and reasonable, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Especially Kathy, Nelson, Henry and the driver Alex and his brother and cousins who help drive you wherever you want to go. The chefs in the restaurant Jani and Katie make and present beautiful fresh healthy food. Tessa, Patrick, Noel and Jorge were friendly and fun. Patrick can make some mean drinks!! We can't wait to come back!!! Miss you guys!!Guest review byLisaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 100 reviewsThe owners and staff were excellent - courteous, very friendly, and helpful. The staff happily contacted establishments we were interested in to confirm that they were open and what their hours were. The arranged needed taxis. The property was beautifully landscaped. The cabins were well designed and beautifully furnished. Each cabin had an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off. The beach was groomed each morning. There was a long dock that you could swim off of.Guest review byRobertUnited States

West Bay is a laid-back beach community on the tip of Roatan. Lots of range in accommodations and food, and great dive shop options (Bananarama is our preferred provider -- smaller boats, personalized attention). We love to dive, and this part of Roatan is great to have as a base.Guest review byErikUnited States - 10.0
Five stars definitely for the scuba diving.
Five stars definitely for the scuba diving. It is incredible. It is also an affordable place to dive, and there are so many sites available. And a variety of places and instructors. The area in general is nice, and fairly clean. Dining options are relatively plentiful, and varied in price/environment/style. Hotels as well...plentiful and different prices/styles/environments. When walking around, sometimes it feels not particularly super safe, but that is more of a feeling rather than seeing anything actually happen when I have been there. Spanish is spoken...but in tourist related places, English is sometimes even more common. You can be there for just a couple nights, or for a full week or more...if you like diving and want to do it multiple times, the longer the better obviously, but just a couple nights is plenty also to walk/see the entire area and get at least one dive in before leaving.Guest review byPhillipHonduras - 8.0
Beautiful - CLEAN - island!
Beautiful - CLEAN - island! Took the ferry from the mainland (returned by air) rented a car (had to go to the airport to get it). Had a full home with kitchen and, although we did shop at a very modern supermarket, we also ate in several restaurants. All good! Small island, easy to get around on very good highways (some road construction). We are an older couple so mostly sight seeing, monkeys and sloths were lots of fun, most people come for the water sports I would think.Guest review byHenryCanada - 10.0
Loved the staff. Helpful in so many ways.
Loved the staff. Helpful in so many ways. They are planning for new activities. Taxi available. Great food. I ate at the restaurant daily. I could get lunches and breakfast to go when I had early morning pick up for diving. I dived with Octopus Diving, recommended by the resort. I enjoyed the birds that were attracted to the thriving plantings along the walkways. The wifi worked well. The owner helped me with scheduling. She took me to the cash machine. She was so helpful.Guest review byLindaUnited States - 10.0

The West Bay area of Roatan is my favorite area to be while on the island. There are many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The beach is easily accessible and everyone is friendly and helpful.Guest review byBradUnited States - 8.0
Depending on cruise ship traffic.
Depending on cruise ship traffic. Tiny little beach towns that can get overwhelmed with cruise ship passengers. Great little tourist town to visit for a short stay on an off (cruise ship) day. Watching tourist dodge vehicles due to lack of adequate foot paths is highly entertaining. Travel insurance definitely required to get from one end of town to the other on foot. Lots of good eats and drinks there. Lots of tourist scams there as well. Nice beach to swim at.Guest review byMarkCanada - 10.0

We loved snorkelling out to the reef, particularly the Spooky Channel, and a delicious lunch at Puerta Azul. Best of all, the beach was almost deserted, despite cruise ships disgorging passengers elsewhere on the island. We regretted not having time to see the botanical gardens.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I feel like we selected the best location. The majority of what we wanted to do, if not within walking distance, was a reasonable taxi or water taxi ride away. I do recommend one full day custom tour to visit things further away.Guest review byDanUnited States - 8.0
