Such a beautiful town!
Such a beautiful town! Words cannot describe, it’s a place you just have to visit to experience its beauty. The serenity, the landscape is beyond stunning. I got lost in looking at all the beautiful trees and listening to all the birds. The people are all so friendly. I loved every second I spent here. The food is another level. It’s hard to choose which bakery and cake shop to eat from as there are so many. All of which are fresh and tasty. There are so many restaurants and smaller food /take away shops to choose from also. The village was charming with cute shops and good restaurants. The castle nearby was very nice as well and had a more medieval feeling compared to other Hungarian castles. There are hiking trails including a "Hand of God" statue on a hiking trail.Guest review byJesseCanada - 10.0

Szécsény is a historic place. This was my third trip there. The hotel personnel went out of their ways to help us, including guiding us to the hotel by car. The town itself is really nice, there are ruins of an old castle up the hill, it is an easy walk in 10 minutes and the view from there is amazing. I had dinner in the restaruant "Zen garden", which was right beneath the castle ruins, it was nice cozy, and they had really good soup :). I wish I could have stayed longer, as this was just a one - night trip, but next time, I would definitely come for some more in this area, but maybe rather in summer, it must be beautiful out there.Guest review byAndreaSlovakia - 6.0

The posted photo is a bit confusing. Originally I thought I would live near the castle. And the accommodation is completely on the opposite side of the village. (my fault). The hostess communicates only in Hungarian. On the other hand, the hostess was very nice. The accommodation is very clean and will provide all the necessary things for a traveler, a tourist.
