My family and I, (10 of us), stayed at Gokulam Park last week, as part of our temple visit. Every member of the hotel team was very hospitable, kind and gracious. Special thanks to Ms. Gopika and Mr.Sachin, who went our of their way to make us feel comfortable. We were not sure of what to expect since it is our first time at a Gokulam property, and that we had an infant with us. But the team was extremely supportive and professional, taking care of every detail. They are impeccable when it comes to quality, customer service, cleanliness, F&B, process and management. Highly recommend this property!

    Amazing development although traffic is not so great. Lots to keep it cleaner. Water Metro is a huge relief. Fort Cochin is worth although, maintenance on roads and grounds needs attention. Overall worth the visit.

    Definitely would recommend visit to Munnar especially for the following three attractions 1. Kannan Devan Tea factory visit 2. Pottas farm Fish spa and ecstasy ride 3. Punarjani Kalaripayattu and Kathakali show (4:30 pm onwards)

    It is a beautiful place with plenty of beaches, greenery, small town shops, water sports and the most beautiful mangroves. There are also nice places like the Jatayu Park and the Shri Narayana Guru Samadhi and ancient temples that are a treat to visit.

    The city has a good balance of tradition and modernity, town-ness and urbanisation. Trivandrum has a intimate scale that will appeal to people from large cities, where you can get to one end of the city to another in under an hour. Main roads are just rightly sized, pretty organised and traffic are disciplined compared to most cities in the country. The city is also super clean and tree lined in most parts of central area. I also loved that the city has a good visual character and a good design sensibility - buildings, signages, hoardings, et al.

    ONE MUST SEE THIS HOLY PLACE. THE WHEATHER IS TOO GOOD. I HAD 3 DARSHANS IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. BUT I COULD NOT SEE THE Deity VERY CLEARLY EVEN ONCE. THE IDOL WAS TOO SMALL AND LIGHTING IS NOT MUCH. BUT WE ENJOYED OUR TRIP.

    Ours was a stopover on the way to Trivandrum.

    Ours was a stopover on the way to Trivandrum. We left around 6.30 am and took the Alleppey Changanachery road. It was a wonderful experience of around 21 KMs straight highway with water on both the sides of the road.

    PERIYAR TIGER RESERVE TREKKING IS VERY MUCH DIFFICULTY. MUDDED NARROW PATHS FILLED WITH BITING INSECTS MADE THE TREKKING MISERABLE. THEY RECOVERED ONE PERSONS ENTRANCE FEES ILLEGALLY TO MAKE IT TO A MINIMUM NUMBER. NO ANIMALS OR BIRDS SEEN INSTEAD ONLY BLOOD SUCKING ANTS.

    Any side you turn, the views are stunning.

    Any side you turn, the views are stunning. You should visit during a perfect weather with some rain and fog. It doesn't cool very much during sunny days. Roads are very nice to drive a car. Restaurants are decent with good local food. You can find good tea shops in many places. Very nice non crowded place to chill out.

    Nettor back water safari for 1hr is high 3400/- for 4. Need to negotiate further. Mattancherry palace is better with a guide. Katthakali show 600 pp is worth watching with their makeup n dressing. Folklore museum is 200rs pp worth with camera. Synagogue mattcherry misses a good joint. Marine drive is good to go for a 30mins drive for 600rs.& me
