Located amidst a tea plantation and wilderness, Dream Catcher Plantation Resort expands to an area of 24 acres. On reaching the resort, we were received with warmth and were offered welcome drinks. They also briefed about the compound and elaborated on the activities we could engage with. The resort offers super clean and fully furnished rooms, Cottages and tree houses, with attached bathroom. As we were two families, we opted for one Cottage and one tree house. We had a unique stay at our respective cottage and tree house, The resort also has 1. Awesome swimming pool 2. Restaurant offering mouthwatering native delicacies and continental dishes (must try) 3. Children’s park which our children found quite enjoyable and a superb watch tower. 4. The resort also offers a package where we can explore Kulukkumalai and other trekking areas and sightseeing places rather than the usual sightseeing places 5. Amazing campfire experience A Special thanks to Manager to Mr. Manoj for properly coordinating our two days package. Would like to come to Dream Catcher once again for a long stay.     Amazing development although traffic is not so great. Lots to keep it cleaner. Water Metro is a huge relief. Fort Cochin is worth although, maintenance on roads and grounds needs attention. Overall worth the visit.

    The city has a good balance of tradition and modernity, town-ness and urbanisation. Trivandrum has a intimate scale that will appeal to people from large cities, where you can get to one end of the city to another in under an hour. Main roads are just rightly sized, pretty organised and traffic are disciplined compared to most cities in the country. The city is also super clean and tree lined in most parts of central area. I also loved that the city has a good visual character and a good design sensibility - buildings, signages, hoardings, et al.

    Ours was a stopover on the way to Trivandrum. We left around 6.30 am and took the Alleppey Changanachery road. It was a wonderful experience of around 21 KMs straight highway with water on both the sides of the road.

    PERIYAR TIGER RESERVE TREKKING IS VERY MUCH DIFFICULTY. MUDDED NARROW PATHS FILLED WITH BITING INSECTS MADE THE TREKKING MISERABLE. THEY RECOVERED ONE PERSONS ENTRANCE FEES ILLEGALLY TO MAKE IT TO A MINIMUM NUMBER. NO ANIMALS OR BIRDS SEEN INSTEAD ONLY BLOOD SUCKING ANTS.

    Any side you turn, the views are stunning.

    Any side you turn, the views are stunning. You should visit during a perfect weather with some rain and fog. It doesn't cool very much during sunny days. Roads are very nice to drive a car. Restaurants are decent with good local food. You can find good tea shops in many places. Very nice non crowded place to chill out.

    I spent my time within an ayurvedic retreat complex, therefore, did not venture out of bounds. Tips: 1. Do purchase a Sim card on arrival at Kochi Int'l airport, the wifi connections are unreliable. 2. Do exchange home currency to IND Ruppees also, on arrival within the airport lounge at one of the available Currency Exchange counters of Kochi Int'l. Experience revealed that outside of the airport, it was difficult to locate currency exchange bureaus also, the ATMs outside of the airport ask high exchange rates. We came across one that charged 6% and, the amount that one may request from the ATM at any one time is limited.
