Great facilities in the village. Little, but very clean homes surrounded by green garden, relatively close to the main beaches, supermarkets and Sirolo town centre. Really genuine Italian vibe of the village. Quiet at night, lovely comfortable mattresses, very clean swimming pool, bus shuttle to the beach always on time, very helpful staff. Fantastic place to charge batteries and disconnect from fast-paced life. Highly recommended.

Such a great spot next to the beach and ideal for us travelling with 2 dogs. Great choice of restaurants nearby ( especially as we were travelling out of season) But most importantly were the lovely family who ran the place, really helpful with recommendations and ensuring we had a great time.

I traveled to Ancona with a friend because there was a direct catamaran line. For trip like this, be prepared for possible seasickness. The port in Ancona is extremely large/long and the check-in is dislocated from the terminals, so be sure to come in time. There is a free shuttle bus from the check-in point to terminals, and you can leave your baggage near the terminals (Deposito Bagagli Porto di Ancona). Public transport in Ancona generally functions pretty well, you can buy tickets on the machines in the buses or via app called MooneyGo. Ancona itself is pretty, but certainly not the most beautiful Italian city I have visited. Given that it is a port, the coastline is not particularly attractive. The beaches are sandy and quite crowded. However, the old town is lovely for a walk, and prices are decent everywhere. There are some smaller towns nearby that you can reach by train relatively quickly (Loreto, Jesi, Osimo, etc.). I'd definitely recommend Urbino, but be prepared to set aside at least two hours for the one-way journey.

Beautiful seaside village that isn't over run by tourists and hasn't become too commercialized. Most 'visitors' seem to be Italians, so it still feels like a genuine, Italian, seaside town. There are many great restaurants, everything is within easy walking distance, and the beaches and sea are stunning.

One evening, one night, one good morning, we enjoyed every bit. Porto Recanati is a small and quiet town with a nice pebble beach. We chose this on the way to South Italy, by car, because as an alternative to Ancona, it is close to the highway so we didn't lose too much time covering distance and driving through a big town. Parking is easy and free, everything is within walking distance.

Recanati is one of the most magical cities in the world.

Recanati is one of the most magical cities in the world. It has history and art, it has a soul and it has youth, it has walls and old undergroud passages, it is amazing. The view to the Infinito and the apenines, and the vuez of the adriatic, it is just mindblowing.

Loreto is a city with a Catholic Shrine which holds part of the “Holly House” of Nazareth. Where Our Lady was born, educated, received the Annunciation and conceived Jesus by means of the Holly Spirit. The history and archeological studies are mesmerizing! Few but very good restaurants, either real Italian food.

Little cozy town between Porto Recanati and Civitanova Marche where you can easily relax by enjoying the amazing beachside walk and the breath taking hills just 2-3 miles far from the sea. Local restaurants are mostly located on the coast side and many of them are excellent! However, if you drive by car, you can also enjoy plenty of restaurants on the villas (agriturismo) located by the hills (many of them have incredible views). If you need to feel more noise, crowd and night life you can easily head to Civitanova Marche by train (1 stop heading south) or 10 mins by car. Porto Potenza Picena like most of the port towns has its little medieval mother town on the hill (potenza picena) really worth visiting. Enjoy!

The public beach was very crowded. Need beach shoes to walk on pebbles on beach. Lots of wonderful bars and restaurants nearby. Lots of play areas for children. Easy to walk to many restaurants lively atmosphere, some stores open in evening. Many beautiful wineries located within 30 minutes to explore.

Sirolo was very pretty with plenty of shops and restaurants and bars. A beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Some of the restaurants were very expensive and provided a rather too nouvelle cuisine approach to fish. For example Il Vicolo and Ristorante delle Rose. Both very elegant with good service but rather fussy food! However, that’s just my taste ofcourse.
