- From $117.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 3,524 reviewsThe rooms were modern and exceptionally clean. I have a terrible dust allergy, and I usually get allergic reactions from even the cleanest hotels in Japan. I slept well in their rooms, which says a lot about the cleanliness. They're also very accommodating towards foreign guests, with clear, detailed instructions in english about how to use things inside the room. Finally, their location is right at the heart of Nagoya, close to key subway stations and the main shopping district of Sakae. They also provide water, coffee and tea in the rooms. Japanese hotels typically just have tea.Guest review byArtoni KevinJapan
- From $111.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 2,403 reviewsThis hotel is fantastic in every sense. The aesthetic of the entryway, the friendly and attentive staff at the front desk, the rooms are so clean and spacious, so many amenities, the water in the shower is relaxing, and the bed was so comfortable after a night of walking. The location is so close to the train station. We stayed as we were going to Ghibli Park, and this was a great stay. So affordable, feels luxurious while not hurting your wallet. I would recommend anyone to stay here if you want to feel relaxed.Guest review byRebeccaUnited Kingdom

Nagoya is a treasure for eating and shopping.
Nagoya is a treasure for eating and shopping. LOTS of great restaurants. There's the science museum, the Toyota museum, and Nagoya Castle. No "authentic" neighborhoods to explore, though there is an ethnic shopping street near Kamimaezu Station. There are lots of traditional Japanese coffee shops "kissaten" to relax in if that's your thing. If you venture away from downtown there are places like Shirotori Gardens or Arimatsu on the historical Tokaido Road which was a center of indigo dyeing. No restaurants though in the 800 m length of the neighborhood.Guest review byBalibari2015United States - 10.0
One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns.
One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!Guest review byCerysUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A lovely and medium-sized city, although there are not many scenic spots within the city, it is a wonderful stopover place for one night. It has a beautiful city park (豐橋公園) with pretty 500 Sakura trees. You may go visiting nearby famous temple 豐川稻荷 (妙嚴寺) and transfer to the scenic railroad branch line JR飯田線.Guest review byMAOTaiwan - 8.0

I was here 6 years ago and just recently came back. If you’re looking for the one piece thousand sunny boat, it is no longer there. It was a surprise delight when we first came here there is a conservation of the local eagles and you see them flying freely like a typical neighbor.Guest review byJashna - Jan dela CruzUnited States - 10.0

Unsure of what to expect but the city is full of life. Amazing shopping in Osu Shotengai District, the castle, the food options (as in most if Japan), Kako Coffee House ogura toast (long queue but yummy) and most delicious sake I tried was in Nagoya. Only stayed for one full day really but very enjoyable. (Also hosts some of the sumo matches! Didn't even have time to visit the Science Museum...Guest review byMadelineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nagoya is often overlooked but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nagoya is often overlooked but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Stayed here for 2 nights but wish we stayed more. We did one day Legoland and one day Nagoya Science museum. If we had stayed longer, we could've visited the Nagoya Aquarium, the MagLev museum and the Toyota museum. We took the Hinotori train from Osaka which had a more luxurious interior than the Shinkansen. I'll come back to explore Nagoya and surrounding more.Guest review byJocelynAustralia - 10.0

Toyohashi is only about an hour from Nagoya where we live, and yet most people we know have never been there! It's great for a weekend break or even a day trip. We enjoyed visiting a restored house from 1800 years ago, the castle, a plum orchard, the city hall exhibition of the unusual handheld firework made from a bamboo tree, and various other places. Our first visit was for two night, and then we went back for a day trip. We'll probably go again for the Natural History Museum a little way past Toyohashi.Guest review byStephen GosdenUnited Kingdom
