We got stranded in Nagoya when the Tokaido Shinkansen stopped running. I booked this property because breakfast was included in the price, and the stay was only a little more than other places in the area. I appreciate they didn't jack up the prices when they heard the news that many travelers got stranded. It sounds like it was hard to find an opening at a hotel, so I appreciate they didn't take advantage of the situation.
I had two small children with me, and I saw they had a queen bed big enough for the three of us to sleep together which I also appreciate since many other places only have twin beds.
The breakfast was good, but maybe it was because the hotel was full or a lot of travelers were in the same situation and wanted to check out early to continue to their final destination, but there was almost no place to sit because it was so crowded. It's not really the hotel's fault because it looks like there's plenty of space. But we came down at 7 and breakfast starts at 6:30 so I thought we were still a little early.
They also have a bathhouse and a sauna unfortunately only for men to use. Since I had my kids with me, I didn't have the chance to use it, but I would like to use it next time! An overall family friendly stay and fairly close to the nearest subway station about 8 minutes away. I'm glad I found it!

It was like a five minute walk from the shinkansen gates from Nagoya station, so even walking with a couple small suitcases was no issue. Being so close to the station, there’s plenty of food options around. When staying in a Daiwa Roynet hotel, I always enjoy the nice big shower and bath compared to other typical business hotels. Other than that, the room was clean, the AC worked well, and the bed was comfortable.

Nagoya is a fairly typical Japanese city with bright lights and many people.
The shopping district has lots of alternative and second hand fashion, which was a nice find.
The people of Nagoya seem more friendly towards foreigners than some cities, we have a couple of great experiences chatting with locals at various Izakaya.
The city is not as cleanly kept as most cities we've visited however, more trash accumulation etc.

I loved Nagoya.
I loved Nagoya. Locals are so friendly - we were looking for a place to eat and a very kind gentleman from the government building actually came up to us and asked us if he could help us. Even though he was working, he took 10 minutes to show us which direction to go for Nagoya castle, and explained to us how the card system works. Japan is amazing. Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality.

Nagoya is the best city I’ve ever been.
Nagoya is the best city I’ve ever been. It’s busy environment, crowds, great sceneries, transportation system and offcourse the city illumations are really heart throbbing. It deserves one time visit in a life time. I’ve even been to Tokyo’s Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku but my personal experience is that Nagoya is much better and convenient then them.

Nagoya's not like your other big cities in Japan (like Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Fukuoka). There aren't many standout sightseeing spots or the like, so it might feel a bit dull if you are expecting those. But it is an excellent city to vibe in. Enjoy Japanese culture on a more relaxed - less touristy - way.

Nagoya has a lot of cool areas and walkable zones.
Nagoya has a lot of cool areas and walkable zones. Less than some of the more touristy cities in Japan, but definitely worth visiting and exploring. Lots of tasty food and the district near my hotel was actually really pretty despite being more industrial than commercial.
There is an amenity bar that includes drip coffee bags and one's choice of pillow. The hotel is directly behind Nagoya station and easily reached through the underground shopping area. The room was small, as expected, but well organized and comfortable.
The hotel itself is very nice, the amenities are great as well. I only stayed one night but Nagoya seems like a great place to take a personal trip. The location is perfect since the hotel is at Nagoya station itself, you don't even have to go out.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are relatively comfortable. There is a small convenience store nearby. It is relatively near one of the train station although it is a longer walk to Nagoya main station. Reception is helpful.
Great location, just a small walk from Nagoya Station. The room was pretty spacious for Japan and had good facilities. Quite a beautiful hotel and lovely staff.
