I had a great experience staying at this pet-friendly accommodation. The entire place is clearly designed with pets in mind, offering multiple dedicated spaces for them—including even a pet onsen, which was a unique highlight. The breakfast was very good, and it was especially nice to be able to enjoy it together with my pet. The staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The location, surrounded by nature, provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere—perfect for truly resting and disconnecting. Even with several guests staying with their pets, the environment remained very clean and surprisingly quiet, with no issues at all. I highly recommend this place, especially for anyone traveling with pets.

The outside facade of this place is magnificent plenty of parking outside. Grand entrance a cool souvenir shop to the right open till 10pm and a lounge dinning area to the left with a happy hour and really nice staff and a pretty water wall view outside the lounge dinning area. We chose a Japanese style room and it has been the biggest room we've stayed in in Japan it was really fun staying there with all the sliders playing around with the lighting, you get futons and a ground level table and chairs , free ice is available, I never tried the hotpools unfortunately ran out of time but the hotel also supplies good free magazines of things to do in takayama and hida area has been the best part of my Japan trip.

We had a very spacious room with a beautiful ocean view. We especially enjoyed the complimentary beverage service. The staff was very helpful. Food was very good, but did not offer much in variety if staying multiple days. It's a little out of the way, but there is shuttle service available to Toba Station if you wish to venture off and do some sightseeing. Just be sure to leave and return between the shuttle service hours.

Its was really big, the Onsen was amazing. Our room was a japanese-style one and it was super cool, big and comfy. There are so many useful amenities as well in the room and the Onsen. The souvenir store is super big, you can get everything. The location was super nice as well, we walked to the Open Air Museum which is beautiful. The city center was also very close by. The breakfast buffet was incredible.

The Japanese restaurant was exceptional. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. (The manager dealt with a particularly difficult guest ahead of me in the queue in a very polite and professional manner, more than the guest deserved in my opinion) the rooms are spacious, the outdoor baths delightful. View can’t get any better.

Takayama is a beautifully preserved old town, dark wooden merchant houses, and sake breweries. It has a very similar feel to Kurashiki in Okayama prefecture. Takayama has a relaxed, foreigner-friendly pace that makes it easy to explore. Takayama is also a good launching place to visit Shirakawa go. It's authentic Japan without the crowds of Kyoto or Tokyo — a small town that's easy to fall in love with.

Atami is a vibrant coastal town, conveniently 40 minutes from Tokyo, and the gateway to the Ito peninsula. It gives traditional Japanese countryside aesthetics and very good for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple good sashimi places as well as cafes in town. Particularly, the year-round firework festival is the highlight.

A great city off the golden route, with a strong association with crafts from the traditional to the modern plastic model boom. Definitely visit Sumpu castle and the observation deck on the 21st floor of the prefectural office. Maps lists another observation deck in the city hall to the south but that doesn’t seem to still exist and would be four floors lower if it did. If you like nature at all be sure to hit up Miho no Matsubara for a lovely beach, a beautiful pine grove, and great views of Mt Fuji if the weather permits. Be aware that the restaurants at that location are open on an odd schedule or something, so maybe eat near the train station.

Hamamatsu is a small industrial city located about halfway between Kyoto and Tokyo. It has a number of industrial tourism sites - Suzuki Plaza, esp., and music-related sites - Yamaha Innovation Road and the Musical Instrument Museum. There are a number of Jazz- and Classical-music festivals in the fall, and that is a good time to visit. Lake Hamana is beautiful, and there are a number of interesting temples, shrines, and historical sites like the small but beautiful Hamamatsu Castle. Mostly ignored by Western tourists, but easy to get around, it's charm is in one's ability to visit Japan as it is for those who live there.

Tokoname is a (natural or artificial?)

Tokoname is a (natural or artificial?) island just long enough for the runway of Chubu Intl. Airport, ans wide enough a few airport hotels and some office buildings, workshops and storage buildings connected to the airport. There is a good railway connection to Nagoya. Tokoname is definitely *not* a tourist destination, but if you arrive late at night and are very tired after a long-haul flight, or if your plane leaves very early in the morning, it is extremely convenient to stay in one of the hotels, which offer good value for the price.

We chose Gotemba because of it's location to Mt Fuji plus the outlet mall. We probably could have just done a day trip from Tokyo as we only stayed one night so was a rushed stop. The outlet mall wasn't quite like we had expected with homeware shops and other things that travelers would not buy.
