The Joseph is in such a good location, 2 min by walk to Gedimino pr., just cross the street for Opera and ballet theatre. Responsable person was waiting me outside (even though was cold and snowing), helped me up with my luggage as their old style building has no elevator but stairs. Room was clean, with beautiful river view, very calm - even though there were another Guests around - You wouldn't feel any of them. Only best recommendations.

Perfect location in town, right in the middle of the old town. My room was very quiet, good size, with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom, all functional and clean. Breakfast (inc. in my rate) was nice, with several choices, both savory and sweet. Good coffee too! After check-out, I was able to leave my bags in their special locker while waiting for my late pm flight. Very friendly staff - welcoming and supportive.

1) Staff at the reception. On arrival date Lady with blond short hair was extremely professional and with high attitude to the clients needs. We got a bit extra time in SPA (sauna and swimming pool) since we were late comers. 2) Breakfast - 10 points. Everything was there and the price - 10 EUR per person seems very reasonable. 3) Facilities and surroundings.

The location was fantastic and made it very easy to get around Vilnius. The room was clean and the view was a highlight, but the standout was the service. The receptionist who checked us in was amazing—she was incredibly polite, professional, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived ❤️.

Family Road Trip Through the Baltics - Starting from Vilnius Our week-long family road trip through Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia was an unforgettable experience, and Vilnius turned out to be the perfect starting point for the journey. We rented a car and traveled across the Baltics, but Vilnius was one of the destinations that left the strongest impression on us. The city has a unique character, blending the heritage of the former Soviet era with modern European development. You can see history and progress standing side by side, creating a very distinctive atmosphere. What we enjoyed most were the beautiful old cathedrals, churches, and historic architecture throughout the city. Walking through the old streets felt like stepping back in time, while at the same time enjoying the comfort and energy of a vibrant modern capital. The Old Town is especially charming, with its stunning buildings, cozy cafes, and cultural landmarks. Vilnius felt safe, clean, and family-friendly, with plenty to see and explore. It serves as an excellent base for anyone planning a road trip across the Baltic countries. Overall, this trip gave us the opportunity to experience the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, and Vilnius was undoubtedly one of the highlights. We would gladly visit again and highly recommend it to families looking for a memorable European road-trip adventure.

Room , view , comfort , the restraunt , staff .......but out of season extended ground and hottub neglected ......a spa centre added under cover would make this place ideal .......but I think owners dont care enough ?

There are many things to see in Vilnius which are mentioned...

There are many things to see in Vilnius which are mentioned in the guide books. We took a tour explaining the Soviet influence which was excellent. A taxi driver pointed out the prison which is a free visit unless you want a guided tour and now also a music venue and bar with food. The Dukes palace was very good. We found a lovely Ukranian restasurant named Kyiv. Most Lithuanians speak excellent English

I left a day earlier than originally planned. That's not really a knock on Vilnius, but it's a smaller capital city. 3-4 days would be just right to see the sights you want, even if you wanna do most of it on foot. I'm not one for fancy sit down dinners, but it seems like a GREAT city for that. Fancy might be a strong word, but in the old town there are lots of sit down restaurants with dim lighting and small menus, that kinda place. They all look tremendous, it's just not really my scene and I was travelling alone. There's also a thriving bar scene, Vilnius would be a great city to visit for a weekend with your friends, especially if there were a concert or a footy match or something you wanted to get to. Getting around is very easy, surprisingly so actually. First off the entire old town is easily walkable. You can also walk to the downtown newer area as well if you're trying to get steps in. The REALLY modern malls and such are a little bit far for that and along a highway, but the busses are cheap and really easy. Google maps is spot on with the bus system and you can tap in with any mastercard/visa so there's no local card you need to buy or anything. Lastly, if you get a chance, GO TO A BASKETBALL GAME. I had a great time seeing Rytas play, I'm not a huge basketball fan, but Lithuania knows how to host a basketball game. It was awesome.

Absolutely see Vilnius!

Absolutely see Vilnius! It's not called "Paris of the East" for no reason. Lithuanians have been through a difficult history but have survived and flourished. 3-4 days would serve to see the city, Trakkei Castle, and the very moving and heart-breaking Ponary Forest memorial a short ride out of town.

Awesome place can recommend to everyone. Had only 3 days, could easily have spent atleast a week. Great water activities, great trekking, everything in walking distance not to mention great and cheap restaurants
