The area around Gusinje, the national park, is breathtakingly beautiful. Beautiful mountains, fantastic hiking opportunities. Gusinje is a very authentic small town, a typical Balkan town in the best sense of the word. It is definitely recommended for anyone who is curious about this world. Unfortunately, outside the park, the environment is neglected and often littered with trash, which is very depressing because it gives the impression that the people who live there don't even know what treasures they have in their possession. I hope this will change in the future.Guest review byNorbertHungary - 10.0
Vusanje is beautifully located in the border between Albania...
Vusanje is beautifully located in the border between Albania and Monte Negro, serving as a gateway to the Alps, with various trails suitable for long, medium, or short hikes of different difficulty levels. It is also close to the towns of Plav and Gusinje, where visitors can enjoy rich natural landscapes and attractions such as the stunning Lake Hrid.Guest review bysiditaAlbania - 8.0

a beautiful town that is underrated, and under developed too. The surrounding alps is sooooooo beautiful! but basic instrastructure is lacking - the bus station is only a parking lot with no ticket office. there are some abandoned properties. There are lots of beautiful trails but looks like hasn't been maintained for a long time and it's not accessible. And trashes are in the beautiful rivers, mountains, trails. with more people visiting Gusinje, and local government's effort - clean up trashes, improve the public insfrastructure, and most importantly set boundaries to protect the national park and environment, and improve the situation of the trails, hopefully it will help the local economy.Guest review byLinaUnited States - 8.0
We went there to hike Prokletije mountains.
We went there to hike Prokletije mountains. Usually we use small tents for camping so this was a huge step up in comfort. Prokletije offer so many trails and 5 days was just to get the taste. The area is going through this tourist transformation phase and will be more and more crowded with time, but you still can get authentic people, spontaneity and sincerity in abundance. In my book: in the league of Alps for the fraction of the price with a lot of extras.Guest review byDarioCroatia - 8.0

we did not spend much time in the town centre, but drove though it. There is very different feel about Gusinje and the Moslem influence can definitely be felt, with a large mosque located right in the town centre. The town centre was very busy and seemed to be full of visitors, so clearly there are things to do apart from the hiking...which is what took us there.Guest review byAdrian M PickeringUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0
