CanadaThe rooms were spotlessly clean, including the bathroom, which included a hot-water shower! The breakfast was excellent - the eggs were cooked to perfection, there was fresh-baked bread and the coffee was good. They also helped us get to Banos de Inka, as well as told us where to find the collectivo bus stand to get to Leimebamba. It was also in the square that held basketball courts, and was close walking distance to ATM's and Ovalo de Inka, where you catch busses to get around town.

Cajamarca is not yet found on many travelers' list, yet is...
Cajamarca is not yet found on many travelers' list, yet is rich with history, architecture, archeological sites, flavors and a high respect for national culture and people.
The landscape is divine, sunset is really golden, the sky is clear and you can see the stars at night.
Locals are kind and friendly, and the city is safe to wander around (being commonsensical, as everywhere else).
Transport is readily available and very cheap.
Due to the altitude, make sure you drink lots of bottled water at all times.
Enjoy beautiful Cajamarca!

There are enough interesting sites here to keep a tourist...
There are enough interesting sites here to keep a tourist busy for several days, and the city allows one to experience Peruvian life in a city that is not overrun with tourists. A great place for relaxing. Little English is spoken here.

Cajamarca is an amazing city with a lot of historical places to visit. My kids love it. Granja Porcon, Ventanillas de Otuzco, Laguna San Nicolas, City Center and more.
My kids were first time in Latin America, and as a mother I was a bit worry about the food but it was fine as the hotels offered International dishes. The city is super safe and clean. The people very friendly and helpful.
