The wine tasting, the picnic near the river, the walk in the vineyards were awesome. The service in general was fantastic. Carlos told us so much valuable information about wines that was so interesting. The views were unbelievable. I liked also our room, its style, view, size, comfort, temperature - everything.

Delfim Douro Hotel was in one word Fantastic, even with a minor incident, what the staff directly and very professional corrected. The moment you walk in, the staff is there. With all the friendly help and the pre-checking was quickly. Everything was in my eyes perfect. We loved also that the hotel helped employees with a handicap, to see the Hotel is not afraid to have employee in a in the wheelchair, who solved our little problem with all the professionalism you can get. The restaurant was great, good food for a decent price, good variety wine and loved the desert, Florest chocolate, you have to try it. :-)

I just had the best time at this amazing hotel! The staff's hospitality was top-notch. They welcomed us with a drink and showed us around the hotel. It was my husband's birthday, so the hotel made it super special by giving us a nicer room! Also, the staff set up fun things for us to do, like a boat trip and wine tasting at a nearby winery, which I highly recommend! The hotel has an outdoor heated pool and an indoor pool with saunas. Perfect for chilling out. And the breakfast was seriously the best ever – so many tasty choices! To sum it up, this hotel rocks! The staff is awesome, the food is great, and the place itself is just so cool.

Marco was amazing. So friendly, funny, helpful and generous. While having a beer on the patio area, I was busy sowing a torn bag I use to carry small items (GPS, Go-pro camera, cell phone holder, cell phone, charging cable,etc) when Marco brought tje beers. Soon after, he arrived with a replacement bag and gave it to me. So thoughtful and I call this generosity of spirit. Restaurant had great food and all the staff were so friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The warm welcome, breathtaking views, and serene atmosphere made it truly unforgettable. The attention to small details was evident throughout, and the dinner on the terrace was a highlight - we highly recommend order a dinner during your booking. Since there are only 4 rooms you can expect only a few people around, not overcrowded pool area and have a sunset stroll thru the wineyard. A small snacks and drinks are available free of charge and also fridge full of drinks for extra (very convenient) cost. And they have a superfriendly dogs! A perfect blend of tranquility and luxury.

Appreciate the kindness and professionalism of all staff and especially of Erica (front desk) on the flexibility with our reservation. Dinner is on the high end in terms of quality and appearance - local products at the level of fine dining. Appreciate the wine tasting offered to guest and the dedication of staff to explain the different wine grapes and types. Advise to try the LBV port produced in loco!

Not too much to do in the fall. Quiet city.

Not too much to do in the fall. Quiet city. Pretty city from far views in the mountain, very few places where you can try cheese selections with good wine. The wool factories are a key attraction like Burel. Finding great servings of the Serra da Estrela cheese should be easier.

Seia is a nice little city with plenty of cultural sites, restaurants, and shops. In general people are very nice and welcome visitors. Nature surrounding the city are beautiful and there are many short and long hiking trails around.

If Viseu was near the ocean I would've moved there...

If Viseu was near the ocean I would've moved there inmediately. Lovely streets to wander around, parks and local shops and restaurants. Lovely architecture to admire and just love the ambience. The N2 national road passes through here and it's close to a great metal festival.

Guarda is a beautiful city.

Guarda is a beautiful city. In 1 day I walked to all the major sites and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Another day would have been ideal. Part of Guarda is exposed to the wind so if you go November December time be prepared with warm clothing.

Beautiful Village with warm welcoming people. There you have the Comfort of a small vilage but at the same time you can find a lot of options as for restaurants and grocery. Recommended for couples and families who wish to have a break from Big cities.

Nice and modern hotel with a relaxing atmosphere.

Nice and modern hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Nice restaurant with a view on the hill. We also enjoyed the indoor heated pool. The hotel is located in an area of cheap apartment buildings and the surroundings are not enjoyable. Seen from the outside, the hotel is also ugly, except from the outside swimming pool area.

It is a nice little spa place in the mountains, has a good hot water based therapeutic facility which offers all kind of things like massage etc and some interesting places to visit in the near vicinity

Perfect Breakfast with fresh bread in a cloth bag on the door and fresh milk in a glass bottle in the fridge. Fresh figs and a bottle of good wine for the evening. Really good beds with high quality bedding. Very beautiful wooden floor and windows in a very beautiful blue. Very quiet residential area. Very nice an functional bathroom. Very attractive furniture. Free parking. The best apartment in three-week trip!!!

We left a day early because the town is quite remote and we were keen to move on. We are on a month long tour of Portugal though so a day didn’t make much difference to us. There isn’t much to do in Manteigas itself. Having said that, the guide in the local tourist office is exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable about the region. There are some beautiful views as you drive in and out of the town.

The only issue was I thought we were getting one space and...

The only issue was I thought we were getting one space and we got another. Otherwise, the place was beautiful and clean. The hosts were beyond gracious...welcoming, wonderful. We will definitely go back. It was an extraordinary and wonderful trip.
