Amazing views, comfortable rooms and tasty food. We were lucky to stay in Vila Gale Douro during harvest and enjoy a visit to the vineyard - truly unforgettable experience.

This is a great hotel. Excellent location with nice view of the hills around Lamego. Good infrastructure, nice pool, spa, etc. Rooms were spacious with nice view of the hills, bathroom also very nice. The service was outstanding, at reception Jessica and Rita, both lovely. Same at brekfast, which was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel, it was also great quality food.

We loved our stay here. We were very well looked after and were very happy that the hotel was in the city center. The hotel is beautiful. The room is charming. Best part of our trip. And the perfect breakfast.

Staff All the staff were really friendly and helpful.The young guy who looked after us in the dining room was particularly lovely. Check in, check out. Easy to do. Room The rooms are quite large and spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and excellent ensuite bathrooms. Food Evening meals had a good selection and were really well cooked. Breakfast has a massive selection of fresh fruit, cereals, meat, cheese, and more. Cleanliness Everywhere was immaculately kept. Car parking. There are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel.

The staff were very friendly, professional, and always ready to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. The spa, indoor pool, and outdoor jacuzzi are fantastic, especially after a day exploring Serra da Estrela, providing a truly relaxing experience. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. The restaurant also impressed us with well-prepared dishes that highlight regional flavors. Overall, this hotel is an ideal choice for anyone looking to relax, enjoy nature, and experience high-quality service in Serra da Estrela. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

Everything…. Lovely staff, beautiful outlook, delicious food!

This is an excellent hotel. Unfortunately we were only there for one night so we did not get to visit the town at all. We will definitely go back and we will definitely stay in the hotel again because it is one of those places where you can be very relaxed, really at ease with everything. We really appreciated the building and the quality of the services.

Nice place, clean very friendly staff

We had dinner at the hotel where the waiters were very helpful professional and friendly. We were impressed with the hotel - it was nicer then we expected and had access to a lovely pool. The room had a nice balcony.

The pool is nice, with a lot of places to rest and salt water. The breakfast if full of options. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, in the city center. Big rooms. Nice stay!

Staff are so good very helpful everyone

Our family lived on the new wings with interconnecting rooms, overlooking the vineyard. Since we went at winter the low season, travellers aren’t many, so the place was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is great! Range of food selection is appropriate given the hotel size (about 40 rooms) and the quality is 5 star grade. The only place I can find a true type of croissant I used to eat but not those sticky one in the pastry shops. We had lunch at their pub serving light meals. Price is affordable at about 18 Euro per dish for pasta and meat sandwich respectively. Given the tranquility, the scenic maple tree under the winter sun, and the quality of food, I personally feel worth it. Dinner we ordered room service at about 30 Euro per dish as we wanted to rest at the cozy and comfortable rooms. Rooms are 5 star grade in terms of comfort level, though size isn’t big. Laying in the bed looking out to the green vineyard and hills, plus their complementary sweet Pacheca port wine is another unique and memorable experience. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Even there aren’t many guests, the hotel still put effort to decorate it for Christmas everywhere indoor and outdoor tastefully. Really appreciate!

I cannot praise this beautiful, well catered and stunning hotel enough. Everything was perfect from location close to my family, friendly, helpful staff who despite not all knowing much or any English went above and beyond to make my stay so very warm and welcome. Offering me meals from both the full and bar menu when I just wanted a lighter meal in the evening. The swimming pool and massage i booked was amazing also.

The excellent location.the beautiful town centre with its lit up buildings and fountains for an evening stroll is a must. The hotel was very good value, clean and our duty manager that night was very helpful. His restaurant recommendation was perfect. Find it located in town Square above the lit up azulajos panels. Hotel parking wasn't a problem.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was super friendly, the room was really clean and comfortable and we loved the spa
