Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

This was a real lucky shot! Extremely beautiful housing consisting of both traditional and modern elements. In a wonderful surrounding - particularly the pool, being a bit remote from the rest, impressed us with its beautiful view. Both breakfast and dinner was very good, the wine is recommendable, and the included winery tour was really interesting. And last not least very friendly and nice staff!

What a total gem of a place! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Everything you could want in the well Stocked kitchen and the views from the house were exceptional. We also loved our private use of the pool. We really didn’t want to leave! Thank you so Much and we hope To return one day.

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. Our hosts were so kind and caring we felt like they had become our friends. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The breakfast offerings were delicious and we had home cooked four course dinners both evenings that were very satisfying. Our hosts arranged a winery tour for us that we greatly enjoyed.

Location is amazing sounded by vineyards and the river view. The rooms are nice and comfortable, great pool for hot days, and breakfast was delicious. Staff was very kind and helpful. Great snacks to the pool along the day and finally the wine tasting was very good.

Breakfast was amazing with a choice from the buffet and cooked on order. Location was beautiful including the vineyard, the church over the river. The restaurant is also a gem with an amazing dinner and lunch set menu with wine pairing. They have set up a walk around the property which is well indicated and easy to follow but make sure to have sturdy shoes.

The best part where the people, everyone was so friendly, especially Ines Patricio, so helpful during our arrival and nice! We loved the view, I hadn't seen pictures before we arrived and I was so surprised on how amazingly beautiful the place is. The pool with the view and the great bar service, the fact they have their own vineyard and do tastings, the amazing food at dinner and breakfast, just everything was perfect! The views from the room with the cute balcony and the table and chairs was just lovely, everything was like a dream and we didn't want to leave!

Staff All the staff were really friendly and helpful.The young guy who looked after us in the dining room was particularly lovely. Check in, check out. Easy to do. Room The rooms are quite large and spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and excellent ensuite bathrooms. Food Evening meals had a good selection and were really well cooked. Breakfast has a massive selection of fresh fruit, cereals, meat, cheese, and more. Cleanliness Everywhere was immaculately kept. Car parking. There are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel.

Stay more than one night and explore: it pays dividends.

Stay more than one night and explore: it pays dividends. Have a look at Favaios and try the Cooperative's Moscatels, walking in the hills, go and see the palaeolithic art (about an hour away). One or two nights is not enough, especially if you include port tasting too! And there is always the poolside to relax when you dont want to do anything!

The area is just beautiful, stunning.

The area is just beautiful, stunning. There is a sense of awe that overcomes you and the natural surroundings... probably because how narrow the roads are and how high up are. It is worth the drive and the wine and olive oil in the area are exquisite.

One of the most beautiful places in the World.

One of the most beautiful places in the World. Don’t miss this area. Stay out of the large city. A vineyard hotel up high would be the perfect place. You’ll be able to drive through wonderful small villages in your way. Once in your hotel you’ll probably have access to a great personal or very small tour of the vineyard production facilities. We were invited to walk in the vineyard all we wanted. Views are absolutely amazing. We also stayed at the Barrel hotel which was touristy and filled with buses. Get up and away from the tourist crowd. We drive there Valley by car. It was easy and gorgeous.

Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food.

Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food. It is worth doing a wine tasting with visit to know the details about wine making and the varities of grapes. The landscape is exquisite and you feel an inner peace looking down the Douro river and the vineyards. The people are warm and happy, always ready to help. It is better to go by car to enjoy the full potential of the region. Be prepared to drive on hills with many curves and narrow roads. They also produce olive oil and it is delicious!!!

This is a very special place. The Quinta has been very well refurbished with lovely interior designs by Pierre Yovanovitch. It has the most beautiful views overlooking the vineyards and the Douro River. We had a room in the main building of the hotel which was very comfortable. Enjoyed our time by the infinity pool where you can sit under the trees looking out at the view. Very friendly staff. Liked the way self-service coffee, drinks and snacks were available. Breakfast was very good. Great wines.

There are not enough words to express how stunning this location and this hotel are. The views are priceless, the welcome was so personal, the room was stunningly clean and the pool was divine. We had dinner at location and this was amazing made extra special by watching the sun set as we ate. The breakfast was also fresh and delicious and again acommpanied by a fantastic view.

The family managing the property is super welcoming and kind. We had some issues with heating in our first night. They helped us moving to a much bigger and well heated room. The location is very closed to pinhao where you can visit 3-4 wineries, they are walking distance to each other once you drive from hotel to pinhao’s center.
