This is a unique property. Each guest has their own cottage with a very large bedroom, bathroom, and front porch. The property has a beautiful garden in back and a fire pit seating area in front. The food was excellent. And the location was ideal, close to Volcanoes National Park.

Fabulous design, gardens and service, warm hospitality, good food and enjoyable evenings of music , dance and barbecues by the fire… perfect base for trekking !

Kinigi Cottage is a hidden gem among the overpriced lodges of the area. We stayed in the second floor room with the huge balcony, and we had amazing views of the volcanoes nearby. The property is walking distance from the Dian Fossey museum and central to all activities in the region. Our kids had a great time playing in the beautiful gardens all around the building, and the indoor and outdoor fires added a great touch of character to our evening. We had a wonderful dinner (extra cost) and an even better breakfast with a full spread of goodies (included). I will not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone staying in the region. Perfect.

This is one of the best places i have ever stayed. The location is very close to the volcanoes national park center, the house is beautiful and well structured, the caretaker is amazing and even the possibility to order (super tasty) dinner from the main hotel is a great add-on. Of course, all of this is topped by the fact that staying here means you support a very nice organisation, which is doing a remarkable job. This is one of my most straight-forward recommendations, there is no way i am back in Rwanda and don’t visit it.

The bed was very comfortable and generally the views of the mountain was spectacular, especially in the morning.

Everything was great at this hotel.. amazing staff that is friendly and makes customers feel welcome. The management team held by Michael is always helpful and open always , We had a morning Mountain Gorilla trekking tour and the place provided us the breakfast on room Price then they gave us a free packaged lunch hence we was thinking that we will pay for eat , Michael had always keeping in touch with us so that he make sure that our experience went well , the following day we had Bisoke hiking a Tour it is really an crazy tour which last 7hours of hiking and Michael and the team was always courageous telling us that we will make it and finally we did , Everywhere we was with Under Volcanoes View Guest House and Volcanoes Over View Safaris drive guide who is really knowledge about Rwanda , Uganda and Tanzania destination from the picking point on Kigali International Airport we can say that it was the beginning of our enjoyments and experience, He was always for committed to present to us and explain to us the aspects of Rwandan incredible culture and believes ! On our road toward the place in volcanic region the driver was always showing us the beautiful features of thousand hills country and in time i say thousands hills country get that I am saying Rwanda ! And we was thinking that we will come counting the hills until we meet thousand hills to guarantee the reason why Rwanda is called a thousand hills country and we got challenged after entering in the country side of Rwanda behind Kigali as the place only have more 😂🥰 , Rwanda is really the real explaination and the facts for the best country to visit in World and meeting Volcanoes Over View Safaris which is also having Under Volcanoes View Guest House will make your experience special ! And I can't wait to recommend to everyone

We really enjoyed our stay as the staff made us feels like we are in upper-class accommodation with their attention to details and kindness. I celebrated my birthday there, and they congratulated me with the beautiful cake before the start of gorilla trekking. Excellent service and attitude.

Agnes was absolutely amazing! She checked us in and walked us to our room and made us feel like we were at home. There was mango juice to greet us In reception and Agnes make sure that Every need with Met. She recommended places of interest in the area, places to eat, including the restaurant facility at the hotel. Agnes was completely genuine as she asked us how our stay was how comfortable are rooms were, and said she looked forward to seeing us again when we departed from the hotel. meeting Agnes and her warm hospitality was one of the highlights of my traveling through Rwanda.
