oh my goodness, this place is so wonderful! I really really wish that we were able to of stayed longer. It was our favorite stay in all of the 10 places that we visited in Europe. It is very very close to the little town where travel information can be found and a small grocery store that closes at 12:30 on Saturday and doesn't open again until Monday, take note. the same goes for gas. So make sure to get that ahead of time also. And possibly cash also. Just a few minutes away is the beginning of the panoramic route and also the beginning of the Logarska dolina Valley Drive and all of its beauty. The river is right across the road and there's a cute patio with adorable kitties that is pleasant to sit on during the day and also at night to see the sky lit full of stars. The breakfast was out of this world! And there is a refrigerator where you can buy some beer and wine which was very convenient and I especially love that there was milk in the refrigerator for morning coffee. I cannot stand powder creamers. So this was wonderful! We hope to be able to come back and if we do we will definitely be staying here!

This farm-to-table experience was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Slovenia. Nestled in a breathtaking natural setting, the farm offers not only stunning views and peaceful surroundings, but also access to wonderful hiking trails that allow you to truly connect with the landscape. The food was outstanding—everything made with fresh, seasonal ingredients straight from the farm. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite. The hospitality was warm and genuine, making the entire experience feel both authentic and unforgettable. It’s the best of Slovenia on a plate and in the air—pure, simple, and beautiful. A must on any visit to the country. We’re already hoping to return for a longer stay!

I wish I could leave here 11/10. This place is beyond perfect. Katja & Bostjan, their kindness, the view with the mountains, the pine trees, the super delicious breakfasts, the forest path behind the houses, the swing, the tic-tac-toe, the sculptures, the garden, the whole atmosphere is just amazing. I don't usually say this, because I prefer to visit new places rather than return to where I already way, but I do want to return to this place for a longer period of time. Our 1-3-5 y.o. kids also very much enjoyed being here. It was the highlight of our 9 days long cycle touring adventure. We will definitely return, and I highly recommend visiting this place to anyone, especially if you love mountains and forests and if you travel with kids (but it is also perfect without kids...). :)

Beautiful place and people. Sonja(host) and her team are extremely hard working and kind. The customer’s comfort and satisfaction is their utmost priority and they deliver it effectively. The view from the hotel’s room balcony is euphoric. Sonja(the host) is also a master craftsman, she has deliriously crafted artifacts and showpieces out of wood herself and your hotel rooms are decorated by them. The breakfast is splendid, don’t miss it !!!! The experience, hospitality, peace of mind outweighs the price you pay. In a nutshell , I LOVED IT !!!! If you do visit logarska dolina , do stop by “guesthouse S” , You won’t regret it !!

The glamping hut was very cosy and clean and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom (over the field) was clean and modern. The whole thing was quite good fun for one night.

The apartment was on great location, spacious and clean. Grocery shop is realy close and coffe shop over the street. Also there is wending machine with homemade dairy product which are delicious, must try it.

Very good breakfast, mostly homemade - jams, goat milk yoghurt, cheese, dry salami typical for the region ("savinjski želodec")... Upon request in advance there was dinner for 18 euros/person - very delicious. The farm makes really good goat milk ice cream, many flavors - I recommend trying it. Peaceful location, in the evening members of the family play zither. I recommend panoramic road "Solčavska panoramska cesta" - it is partially macadam, but broad enough for two vehicles to meet, and the views and farms on the way are definitely worth it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Apartments Pod Macesnovo Streho in Solčava, and I couldn't be happier with my experience.
