Staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the food at the hotel restaurant was also really good and reasonably priced. The lake is nearby, there are also free buses that can take you to Savica waterfall. Definitely coming back!

We absolutely loved our staying at Pension Cerkovnik!
The place is dog friendly and the little one could come with us everywhere. Our host was lovely, easy to reach in case of any questions. At night it was wonderful to fall asleep listening the chirping of the crickets and the babbling of the stream. There is a restaurant at the property. The breakfast was pleasant with various options. We do not usually drink coffee in the morning but the 'white coffee' was that tasty that we could not skip any morning without drinking a mug of it. The location is excellent: 10 minutes walk from the main street of the Bohinj lake with a stunning view to the mountains, right on the bank of a stream, small river. You can easily reach the hiking trails to the mountains.
We are planning to come back soon.

A wonderful apartment with simple and modern decor, finished to a high standard. Great location for getting to Bled, Pokjuka and Vogel via bus or car (the bus stop is 50 yards from the front door).
There is a handy supermarket very close to the apartment and a delicious burger restaurant called Foksner up the road - very reasonable prices and delicious!
Janez was a great host, he was helpful and friendly and made sure we knew the opening times of the supermarket due to the bank holidays. Our Christmas gifts were very kind and will always remind us of our wonderful trip.
We would recommend Apartments Alp to anyone and hope to return again. Thank you, Janez!

The innkeeper is exceptionally friendly and helpful! During this stay, I was much higher-maintenance than I usually am - early check-in, late buses, even needing to extend our stay at Lake Bohinj last-minute - and she rolled through all of this with cheer.
It's hard to stay much closer to the lake than here!
Our room was rustic and basic, everything you need and nothing you don't. Not ideal for someone looking for a lazy resort week, but great for us wanting a basecamp for active days.
The attached restaurant is great too, low-key and high-quality.

The view of Lake Bohinj from our room was incredible. I love seeing the mist over the lake in the morning. The rooms are large and very comfortable. We enjoyed having a kitchen. The staff at Apartmaji Triglav are so welcoming and kind. The location is very central and there are places to eat that are walking distance nearby. This was our second stay at Apartmaji Triglav and it felt like returning home. We would stay here again and highly recommend it.

This was literally the best place we stayed in all our trip in Slovenia. The place is stunning, well located and Iana (the owner) was 10 out of 10. She was sweet and caring and made our stay a whole experience. The breakfast was delicious so many delicious options. We couldn't ask for more. It has a stunning river running through te property. Would definitely recomend this place without a doubt.

It was absolutely beautiful, clean, amazing breakfast, and the staff were lovely and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Would stay again and absolutely recommend staying here. Definitely recommend getting a rental car though, as I did not have one and had a bit of trouble getting around the area.

We stayed one night in Hotel Pokljuka, and used it as a base for a long day hike in the spectacular Julian Alps. The rooms were clean and comfy. We ate dinner and breakfast here, and the food was excellent. We used the free Bled shuttle to reach this hotel.

Hotel is on the great location, lake is down the street. Room was comfortable, warm and clean just like the whole hotel. Breakfast includes diverse meals, desserts an beverages. Staff is there for anything you need, wonderful experience.

We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake...
We stayed in Bled for a couple of days before moving to Lake Bohinj, on reflection, we preferred Lake Bohinj to Bled, it was less busy, quieter, and if we wanted was in each reach of Bled for a visit. If we went back again we would stay in Bohinj as a base and move around from there.

The breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of food and a great variety. The food was really delicious. We truly enjoyed the accommodation, and the hotel owner was lovely, helping us with every question and everything we needed. We got caught in the snow in the mountains, and the hotel owner drove us in his own car – it was so kind and definitely not something to be taken for granted. I highly recommend this place ☺️

The town of Bohinjska Bistrica didn't impress us but the Bohinj lake a few kilometers away is the main attraction anyway and it is beautiful. There is a nice cyclepath from Bohinjska Bistrica to the lake with a few steep parts and soon the whole cyclepath from lake Bled to Bohinj will be completed. There are also some other routes around Bohinjska Bistrica but the area might be a bit constricted for serious cyclists. In July and August there is too much traffic for serious road cycling if you don't like a lot of traffic but we were told that from September it is much more quiet.

I love the Julian Alps for their stunning natural beauty. Everything is nearby, and you can choose from waterfalls, gorges, hiking trails, or enjoy water sports on the lake. If you enjoy outdoor activities in nature, this is a perfect destination for you.

Good location - just the middle between Bohinj and Bled lakes. Quiet area but in the morning we heard some cars from distant route and also train once per day. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. We got free pack of local eggs on arrive.
We were living in upper floor. The accommodation had everything we need for nice stay. The beds are a bit hard and noisy. Also I would add nets on the windows because there is no AC and opening window at night time might cause problems with mosquitos.

For those who love nature, quietness, hiking, water...
For those who love nature, quietness, hiking, water activities, nature wonders, local traditions, kind people, nice beaches, swimming, and on top would like to experiment flying like birds (paragliding) ! Do not hesitate, come visit Bohinj. And plan to stay long to enjoy all what it offers.
