A must see in Thailand.
A must see in Thailand. All the numerous temples are gorgeous and are a feast for the eyes. The city is very well-designed and you'll have no trouble getting everywhere on foot. The taxis are very cheap. The city smells good, looks good and is full of very polite people. I'd recomment visiting Kat's cafe as one of the best eateries in the city.Guest review byArseniyRussia - 8.0

We loved the slower pace of Chiang Rai, being smaller meant it was easier to walk to local landmarks. Walking street on Saturday is a must, it is an amazing market that goes for miles. Unfortunately the paving and foot paths are not maintained very well so caution is needed while walking. The clock tower light show every night at 7,8 and 9pm was a disappointment. I was expecting lots of colours and music but no, very overrated. Temple tours are a must.Guest review byGaryAustralia - 8.0

Beautiful place destroyed by young travelers mainly Germans and British coming for the tipsy tubing on the river...really stupid and dangerous attraction...The authority should stop this! Otherwise it remains a beautiful area to visit.Guest review byMatthieuSpain - 10.0

Sukothai's National Park with the ruins of the temples were probably THE BEST I've ever seen. Breathtakingly beautiful and amazing. Don't miss the separate temple ruins at Wat Sri Chum. Ethereal!Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 4.0
There really isn't much there to see as a tourist.
There really isn't much there to see as a tourist. The city is not pretty or anything special. We were at Sukhothai and decided to travel here to extend our mini vacation. I would not recommend it for a visit. The only highlight for me was the SGT MAJ Folk Museum. This is a must see, if you are ever in the city.Guest review byNashboroguyThailand - 10.0

Our visit to Khao Kho was a refreshing escape to the mountains. Despite arriving during a tropical storm, we were welcomed warmly by the local staff. We were pleasantly surprised to wake up to a sea of clouds, an unexpected and breathtaking sight.Guest review byTimThailand - 6.0

I found a lot of the locals to be quite stand offish with white people. It was the only town we visited that felt like that in all of northern thailand. for that reason, I would not come back to Lampang.Guest review byJustineAustralia - 10.0

Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. But you must realize that this is not a holiday site where you can enjoy daily fun and entertainment.Guest review byHarri PekkaFinland - 10.0

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!Guest review byTanSingapore - 6.0

Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages. Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.Guest review byRomanPoland
