Travel epicentre.
Travel epicentre. You can take buses (very unreliable, timetables very random, online, only in one direction, not updated often, so they change without word), but very cheap; shared taxis & mini vans are good and also cheap, ask around. Also private taxis. A lot if places close, or close early on Sundays. Attractive water front. A place to go to get to other places- nothings far from Scarborough, but you don’t need to stay there except for early morning ferry departure. Accommodation over priced!Guest review byPaulaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Area caters for most tastes re restaurants and bars.
Area caters for most tastes re restaurants and bars. I spent my whole evening at WONKY WINDMILL and enjoyed the food and drink there. Can be walked to from the Airport but I suggest a taxi as roads and pavements not always up to Western standards and the rain can make it very tricky to navigate. Lots of development going on but it was not noticeable during my stay at CANDLES. Andrew is a very good host - if you are new to the area, ask him for informationGuest review byDanielUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Planned this get away for my fiancé and I to enjoy the scenery of Speyside. It was a relaxing week spent with a memorable staff of Blue Waters Inn. A revisit is in the near future with my children. Thanks for a wonderful time.Guest review byRoxanneTrinidad and Tobago - 10.0

As a female solo traveler, I visited Castara with a skeptical mindset to be honest, and Castara ( Trinidad and Tobago in general) just blew my mind away. Such a wonderful, amazing place and such a great nation full of super-friendly, warm, kind people. I absolutely loved the beaches, specially the Castara Bay beach where I spent about 10 days. The beach was breathtakingly beautiful. The view was picturesque. The green mountains surrounding the landscape were enchanting, and I just ended up relaxing for hours in the magnificent turquoise water. I simply did not want to come out!! Not crowded at all. Felt like I was chilling at a private beach. The ocean was very calm, peaceful, and more of a pool, so it was ideal for a person like me, who is not good at swimming. Felt an extremely safe vibe while roaming around the village. Castara ( Tobago in general) should be in a traveler's bucket list!!Guest review byRachelUnited States - 6.0

The place was clean and had a pool ,not to far from the airport the host was helpful but you definitely need a car. It should have hooks over the bathroom door and outside area to hang your bathing suits and towels to dry the host took us to the airport that was nice 👍🏽Guest review byShermaSaint Lucia - 10.0

Some of our favourite spots were Store Bay and Charlotteville for swimming, the picturesque Parlatuvier jetty where we spotted stingrays, and the iconic Buccoo Reef and Nylon Pool for a unique ocean experience. We also enjoyed exploring Fort King George, the Museum, and the peaceful Botanical Gardens. For dining, we had a lovely experience at Skye Restaurant at Comfort Inn & Suites, great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Tips for a smooth trip: Rent a vehicle, preferably an SUV or 4x4, as some parts of the island are quite hilly and you’ll want to explore freely. The sun can be intense, so be sure to pack sunblock, sunglasses, caps, and rash guards for added protection.Guest review byAllenTrinidad and Tobago - 8.0

Tobago is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, a hidden gem unlike most of the popular islands. The warmth of the people and the safety of the location is a plus. It has becomemore expensive as the A listers from North America who seek privacy have bought property. Unlike, Trinidad which is more urban and certainly not a tourist destination, the local government has done a remarkable job of the infrastructure in the remote parts of the island. As a choice for family, relaxation and lots of outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkeling and bird watching, the isalnd is a top choice.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 8.0

Buccoo is a relatively quiet village, does have a good bar and restaurants and the beach is fantastic. There is a large car park or you can park in the shade behind the beach. Sunday school is a must do if you are in TobagoGuest review byLeeUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The location of Blue Waters Inn is spectacular.
The location of Blue Waters Inn is spectacular. Speyside itself is a quiet little place and quite remote, which we like, but there's not much there. Jemma's, the one restaurant that was open in Speyside, is characterful and in a great setting; but we were charged a naughty price for a very simple meal of shrimps and rice. The 'main ridge forest' is wonderful, and we had an outstanding tour focused on bird-watching with Mr Newton George, a top ornithologist and guide who lives in Speyside. Charlotteville, a pretty fishing village on the Caribbean side, is only 15 minutes drive away. Also near is Kings Bay, on the Windward side but with good bathing facilities, very few people, and beautifully sheltered.Guest review byColinUnited Kingdom
