The rooms were clean and huge for a family of 4 (2 little ones) and a fantastic bathroom with a hot spring bath tub! They even prepped the room with kid friendly items like a step tool for the sink, bathrobes, slippers, toothbrush and a Nintendo switch! Drinks and snacks were complementary in the room. In the main building, the kids playroom was a hit and allowed our kids to play when they wanted - it included a small outdoor area which was nice for the kids to shoot some basketball and run around more. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful spread, although the selection was similar every day (we stayed for 3 nights), there was so much food that we were able to eat different things everyday. It is a quiet town and a walkable downtown area. The beach is nearby and a surfing mecca. Most restaurants close at 6 or 7pm and by 9pm the town is completely shutdown except 7 Eleven. I stayed in Jiaoxi for 2 nights only so that I could do the trip to Turtle Island but my impression is that the place merits a longer stay as I didn't have time to visit the hot springs, Our Lady of Wufengqi Sanctuary, or to undertake any of the local walks. I ate at HoYa restaurant where the staff and other customers were very helpful in finding out what I wanted to order.
