Offering free WiFi, Hampton Inn Gulf Shores is located in Gulf Shores, within less than 1 km of Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. Dustin who is the manager of the hotel was working on a holiday to cover for his staff. He was most gracious and informing and delightful and made my reservations from Booking.com to match his rates in his hotel. He gave me a brochure of an amazing restaurant within four blocks of the hotel and it was wonderful!

We visited Troy University for my graduation. There were a lot of restaurants and a six screen movie theater on Troy Highway. Other than that, I didn’t see much else there. Most people go to Montgomery, Alabama if they want to do something fun. I plan on going back when my son graduates from there or if there is an alumni event for me to attend.
Took my son to see the USS Alabama and USS Drum and with this being his 1st time, he loved it. All he could say was "this is epic" over and over. Not sure what that means with kids these days but he enjoyed it.
Our reason for staying at Birmingham was because our 17 year old daughter had a tour of the University of Alabama where she hopes to attend. We stayed in Birmingham because the hotels is Tuscaloosa were booked.
Great location. Close to New Orleans. Awesome seafood, close to the USS Alabama memorial. Locals we're great. Had to have work done on vehicle. Expected high price but was treated fairly at DJ's Auto service.
Tuscaloosa is an excellent place to visit. It was my very first trip but it will not be my last. The Bryant Denny Stadium was amazing. I mostly enjoyed just riding through the campus at University of Alabama
Had a very relaxing night and went to the USS Alabama the next day. Beautiful old homes from the 1800's with trees so BIG the home owners have spot lights on them at night. Everyone of us enjoyed the beauty of it all.
A lot to see and do. If you are a music lover, Florence / Muscle Schoals has a lot of music history. From recording studios to Alabama music museum. Close to NAU.
The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is a treasure! Everyone should see a show there. We also saw some amazing exhibits at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
Tuscaloosa is my favorite city. I have been visiting for over 10 years now - it began when I was 12! The rich history and traditions within this city are comparable to none. Once you visit once, you can’t wait to go back! The University of Alabama campus is a must-see. The landmarks and stories surrounding many of the buildings tell the tale of that special place.
Loved: Dolphin tour (bring snacks/drinks) The beach was beautiful Souvenir shop on gulf shores pkwy has a neat photo op (has giant shark in front, shark inside and huge pirate ship on the back of the building) Very close to lots of shopping/restaurants/activities/ groceries) Lazy river Ate at cactus cantina👍 Franco’s Italian Restaurant 👎 Longhorn steakhouse 👍 Mini golf was cute Very family friendly USA ALABAMA battleship tour in Mobile, Al was worth the drive Disliked: Beach umbrella/chairs and parking not included

Stayed here with friends on Homecoming weekend for the Alabama game. Comfortable and clean room. The hotel is dated, but in good shape and clean. Unlike some places the flate screen televison worked, coffee maker, air dyer, etc. Beds were comfortable. Only complaint I had is the the thin walls with little or no insallation made for a noisy stay. Overall located in a good location. The staff was friendly. This is good hotel and value for the money. Would stay again.

My husband and I are on a very strict diet and we needed to use the microwave often in the dining hall. The staff was more than accommodating when it came to this and helped us with whatever we needed. They were so friendly and nice. We couldn't of asked for a better stay and even said that we would make this specific hotel our home hotel on our yearly visits to watch the Alabama Crimson Tide Football games! Thanks so much!

I have been in the construction industry for 30 years. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Matter of fact the company I work for has put the plumbing in hundredsof hotels. This was the nastiest hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. I went and spent 50 bucks on Lysol and freebreeze just to be able to stand it. Only rooms available because of parents weekend and Alabama football game. Cost me 482 dollars for two nights.

The staff (especially Hannah at the front desk) was amazing. I couldn't get over how amazing clean the whole hotel was. We had never been to Alabama before (we were escaping the hurricane this time) and this place has far exceeded any expectations. Working in hospitality we are slightly more picky than most, but this hotel was amazing. There is sooo much to do around town it's the perfect location!

This hotel was in an excellent location in relation to the University of Alabama. We came here for a football game, and the check in was flawless, actually got upgraded to a King bed. I loved all of the touches that have been done to renovate the property. I especially loved the new gray hardwood floors. I would stay here again for sure.

No where will you find a hotel with a friendlier, more cheerful and helpful group of workers. From the front desk to the house keeping staff to those who worked the breakfast buffet, they were all so wonderful. I will definitely stay there each and every time I visit my son at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

I loved Gloria the front desk clerk. She was great! This was my first time going to Alabama A&M University. She printed me directions from the hotel to the school. Then she even gave me directions on how to get back to hotel from school. She told me about the mall.

Staff was excellent. We had time frame issues in connecting with our Alabama family, verses our SC work and Alabama hotel arrangements, but staff worked with us. We were so impressed with Front Desk Mgrs in keeping our needs a cocern to them, in making our stay, good.

Had lower rates than surrounding hotels for off season booking(not Alabama football season) plus great rooms and a comfy bed. The desk clerk was sweet as Dixie Crystal sugar.
