- From $147.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 133 reviewsVery kind hosts, and the room and especially bathroom were exceptionally clean! I found the bed and other accommodations comfortable, but there is little that matters more to me than cleanliness and Evergreen exceeded my expectations in that area. The heater worked well and felt so nice after hiking in the snow. The room was simple but afforded everything I needed for a peaceful, enjoyable stay. And I would've had a stunning picture-window view of Mt. Shasta in the morning if it hadn't fogged over!Guest review byAmandaUnited States
- From $105.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.6Fair - What previous guests thought, 142 reviewsThe lady that checked us in was so very nice. We talked for a minute and she had me laughing so hard. I booked the room literally as we were walking through the door and she was not upset that she had to wait for the fax from the booking agent. Just a very nice lady. Also she gave us the name of a very good place to eat in walking distance. The bathroom had a big tub very nice. Also a desk to set and work if the need be. Will stay there again most definitely.Guest review byDeborah

From the messages before arrival to the check in process, to the amenities provided to the fabulous breakfast brought to the rooms, and the welcome from.the owner, everything about this place was exceptional. The room was modern and spacious and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend for anyone staying withing the Lake Shasta area.Guest review byRonaldTrinidad and Tobago
- From $112.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 51 reviewsLove The Pine Needles Inn! Seems like time standing still, in a small alpine town, family-owned, & recently renovated. The area is near majestic landscapes, pristine waters, and safe community. Great first-overnight-stop on the way from Seattle, WA, to San Luis Obispo, California. Highly recommend!!Guest review byHarryUnited States

It was a great energy that encouraged engagement around a campfire for s’mores and offered mountain bikes which was awesome! Went out of their way to accommodate us. The mountain was so big and bright with lots of snow still on top. A few doors away is a good Mexican lunch dinner place Casa Ramos. If you drive 10 minutes to Weed. I highly recommend Ellie's Espresso and Bakery on the left side the BEST breakfast burrito 12.45 and pastry. I like supporting this small place in a small town of Weed, CA. Have fun life's to short.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10.0

Nice little town with everything you need while out on the road. Most everything is very close to Interstate 5 but the area is quiet and affordable. We stayed at the Hi Low Motel which has a cafe and is near groceries, dining, gas and gift shops.Guest review byFleming81United States - 4.0
Dunsmuir is a ghost town.
Dunsmuir is a ghost town. It is a beutiful place with a river a waterfall, and a very charming town that is now a Ghost town. 90% of the business are boarded up and closed. It did have a great bakery and Hamburger place and the surrounding area is beautiful. but, a once charming downtown is no longer.Guest review bycolesdad123United States - 8.0
Location is great.
Location is great. We enjoy using the Inn At Shasta Lake as our base when visiting the area. As based in a more rural location a car is needed. Nothing is within walking distance. Interstate 5 is very close by.Guest review byCAROLINEUnited States - 10.0

The owners and staff are friendly and helpful and like to show you the property and their restoration work. Our room was very comfortable and food is excellent! The building used to be the head office of the logging company and is on the edge of the logging town. Easy to walk to small museum, town streets, restuaruants, and even the US Forest Service ranger station. Good hiking is a short drive away.Guest review byMarthaUnited States - 10.0

So many waterfalls, lake (with boat rental), resort (with massages), caves and hikes in the area. The town of Mt. Shasta also has some great restaurants, some of which have nice outdoor seating. We found a crystal singing bowl shop that had daily sound baths that made a great addition.Guest review byNathanUnited States - 4.0

Juan Carolos Arciniegas, Gen Manager, gave me $200 off my prepaid four day stay due to Bed Bugs and huge Bed Bug bites. But when I went to check out he lied bold faced and used intimidation tactics too beller out "I never said that!" and refused to honor his "word". Once someone uses LIES as a rebuttal, you know there is NO HOPE for a fair and honest resolution. Had I known he was a liar I would have taken a ton of pictures of the filthy room he moved me into - filth under the beds, bugs, food, and when I looked for a small crystal and pulled the desk out away from the wall, there were dead flies, dead spiders and food particles - this hotel is FILTHY and if Bubba Carlos promises you something, GET IT IN WRITING!!!Guest review byJoy - 4.0

I've already reviewed Dunsmuir but you need to make sure your information on your website is more honest about the check-in process at the diner next door. It's fine if you get someone nice but we had grumpy and nice...very grumpy. Just saying it is 24 hr check in is not enough.Guest review byLgdoerrUnited States - 4.0
Not a great location for exploring the area.
Not a great location for exploring the area. Everything we were most interested in doing (hiking, waterfalls, state/national parks) was at least an hour's drive. Not much in the way of dining options, no nearby markets or supermarkets.Guest review byLisaUnited States - 10.0
Cozy Little Mountain town.
Cozy Little Mountain town. I went for a ski ascent of Mt Shasta in June and the terrain is great. the Mountain is beautiful. Swam in the clear water pool at the base of a huge waterfall (Middle falls on McCloud River). Lots to do in the area. Definitely worth a visit.Guest review byWilliamUnited States
