"Best place to visit however due to many expats moving in the prices for everything are skyrocketing because well people love to spend here. Once you go you’ll continue to return the many shops and the owners are very welcoming and do treat everyone like family no matter where you go. Favorite spot for me is the Lighthouseaks El Farro, the Balneario Hut and Beach, especially Karaoke Nights, as well as, Rincon Bakery for the huge and tasty breakfast sandwiches to name a few. The area is easy to get to know major businesses are either on Route 115 or 413 so getting lost isn’t really a concern. I would avoid driving into or out of town on Thursday afternoon or evenings due to art night in the plaza many people come in and all school areas out or during school breaks out hours which is anywhere in PR at around 2-230pm.."

"Tranquility is the best part. Many shopping and food centers nearby. Walking distance to the Plaza del Sol Mall. Excellent facilities, including a casino and excellent customer services. The rooms are modern and beautifull. Breakfast is delicious. It also has a huge parking if you have a rental or personal car. If not, its not a problem, you car travel in UBER or taxi to nearby malls, like Rio Hondo Mall, El Cantón Mall, and Santa Rosa Mall. Best by far, if you have a dog, its welcome to this hotel."

"Culebra is so beautiful and charming an a must go to when in San Juan! Flamenco Beach is one of the prettiest beaches I've seen and also so well maintained. I was only here for 1 night but could have easily done 1 or 2 more, to see other beaches/island and taken a boat trip etc. I rented a golf cart for about 90 dollars/day and would highly recommend so that you can explore freely and not depend on taxi as I hear they are pricey."

I loved the place, the staff, the service, and the casita. The staff; Xiomara, Luis, Manuel, Rafael, and the american guy (dont remember his name) were extremelly helpful and display excellent customer service kills. Cleaning services were great. My observations: The casitas bathroom need some maintenance at the showers, we had a party of 3, but e everythig at the casita were for two. We notice that cleaning service were done in the morning, however someone went inside the casita later on without a notice.

Loved our room, a bungalow with terrace and chairs looking towards the sea. Good restaurant, breakfast and evening meals, especially breaded prawns in coconut sauce! We also ate at restaurant across the road which we enjoyed too. The pool was wonderful with great sunbeds. Sound of the waves splashing onto the shore! From the hotel there is an amazing nature walk adjacent to the shore leading up to the lighthouse, where there are great views in both direction. Very few people seem to find this!

We communicated with the front desk via Whatsapp messages, which was super convenient, since we could do it at any time, even during an excursion. They were very responsive and attentive. We loved the hotel in general, classy and quiet, with beautiful sounds of nature! also, the fact that is not an all-inclusive concept, allowed us explore more places to eat and drink (although the restaurant gets 5 stars in my opinion too!).

San Juan is a beautiful city but inflating has soared as high as Hawaii. There are too many vendors trying to sell you stuff at overpriced. For example a pina colada from a street vendor costs 22 dollars, plus tip, plus tax (11%). Ridiculous for a place that produces pineapples.

Needs to become more walkable, the square in downtown we liked, we ate at the Plaza Caribe Mall, getting around Ponce is very easy, it have a very good taxi transportation, the Art Mussean, la Guancha, Caja de Muerto

So many different restaurants close early or don't even open...

So many different restaurants close early or don't even open for days. Restaurants run out of food and there's no way to know ahead of time. Everything is overpriced and honestly not even worth it , just stay on mainland. Flamenco beach looked nothing like the pictures. The taxi companies are so unreliable.They'll leave you out there waiting for hours and constantly tell you they're coming when they are not. The home rentals are just ridiculous.

Island with rich nature.

Island with rich nature. You should try bioluminescent tour at Mosquito Bay if you stay over night. Rental cars (or motor bikes or golf carts) are highly recommended to explore the island. You can enjoy beautiful black and white beaches, calm lakes, horses all around the island, a magnificent old Ceiba tree, etc. Joining horse riding tour was also good. I hope if I could see some historical places, as both of light house and fortress were closed when I visited. If you are interested in the history or nature of Vieques, Fideicomiso de Conservación e Historia de Vieques in Esperanza was good place to visit.

The streets in Fajardo are horrible, small and complicated. There are no good signs, many of them are one way, and if you make a mistake there are cops everywhere to give you a ticket. The main plaza was closed for reconstruction when I went with my family in 2026. I tried to access the lighthouse, and you need to make a reservation for September, so las Cabezas de San Juan, and the lighthose were unavailable... Because of the algae bloom, Las Croabas, another beach destination, SMELLED HORRIBLE. To top it all, the islands that we went to, Culebras and Icacos were covered with bees. There were so many bees, we had to step carefully, and cover our food. 0.0% OUT OF A 100% for Fajardo. Go to Rincón, Aguada, San Juan or Ponce instead...

Beware of the gringo price when you go to restaurants and shops. Some people are unfriendly to you if you’re “American,” the food is good, the roads are sketchy and the locals drive it like they stole it. This was my second trip to PR, I will not return, but it was worth it all to see the natural beauty of this place.

My trip was for business with a large group attending the Hyatt Regency 7 minutes away by car. Very pleasant surroundings with hills covered with tropical plants. birds singing constantly and often found some large right green iguana crossing the road. My problem was that I didn't get to see the old town other than driving through it to get to the airport. The sunset was amazing and the sea was calm. Beautiful beaches too.
