Rooms were amazing with classic antique furniture, incredible comfortable beds and bedding and very welcome AC in the summer heat. Swimming pool also provided some relief. Dinner was incredible (Karoo lamb chops, ostrich, lamb shank, etc) but probably best thing was the amazing and very welcoming service from Sarita and team.

The small lodges make it feel very personal and intimate. Our drives only had 5 people on a 9/10 passenger vehicle making it very comfortable. The food and drinks were great. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Rosenhof has an on-site pub and several luxury lounges with fireplaces where guests can relax and admire works from well-known South African artists. What a fabulous find. Wonderful terrace and outdoor dining is superb. Staff incredible - old school and nothing is too much trouble. The food is first class and you will struggle to find better.

Each of the spacious rooms at Karoo Retreat- Self Catering Villas and Guest House has a kitchen, and a dining area where a Continental breakfast is served each morning. The rooms are all air-conditioned, equipped with a flat-screen TV and have an en suite bathroom. Great location, very calm, super friendly personnel, huge room, amazing price/quality, great breakfast. Everything you need present in the room. Shame we did not stay longer.

Stayed in Mae West, perfectly situated to lie on the deck next to splash pool and look out onto the mountains. Had clear skies in the evening which made stargazing absolutely spectacular. Unit has small fridge and pod coffee machine which was not listed on Booking.com, had I known this I would have brought along some coffee pods.

Guests can also warm themselves near outdoor fireplace after a day of cycling. De Denne is a gem in Oudtshoorn. the views, the rooms, the people and the grounds are stunning. I highly recommend this stay. Food in the restaurant is good and to sit by the pool and relax is just what we needed after a long drive. plenty of activities very near by.

Mooiplaas Guesthouse is a luxury guest house situated on a working ostrich farm, within 11 km of Oudtshoorn. This owner-managed property offers views of the Swartberg Mountains, an outdoor swimming pool and an on site spa. We had an excellent stay at Mooiplass Guesthouse! Superman John, Marshall and all the staff made us feel right at home. They went the extra mile to make sure our stay was great. We also took the informative ostrich farm tour with Ben at he guesthouse. Ben is very knowledgeable in everything ostrich! He also doubles as the braai master! The dinner was delicious in a beautiful spot, outside overlooking the pool and the expanse of the Karoo. Recommend having dinner at the guesthouse! The rooms very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was very generous with plenty of options. The guesthouse is in a great location near the main ostrich farms outside Oudtshoorn.
